.204 at the range
« on: September 18, 2010, 06:08:24 PM »
Got out to the range today with the $149.00 .204 ruger and man did I get lucky !! All I did was clean the bore and make sure the forend screw was tight. I shot it off a predater rest with the suport on the end of the forend and the base of the stock. I know you are supposed to support off the action but I dont when I hunt so........ The first 5 shot group at 50 yds was under a 1/2 " the next group at a 100 was 3/4" . We shot some rocks at around 200 yds that were no bigger than baseballs and they would just disapear. It might be one of the most accurate rifles I own !!! And all I wanted it for was the action for a 45-70 I have. I guess the quest for an action for my 45-70 barrel will continue !!!!!!!!!!!! Mark :)

Sounds like you got a heck of a deal. Also from your name I'm thinking you are a fellow Minnesota handi enthusiest.
99% of all Lawyers give the other 1% a bad name. What I find hilarious about this is they are such an arrogant bunch, that they all think they are in the 1%.
