The ObamaCare bill is the establishment of Dhimmitude and Sharia Muslim diktat in the United States . Muslims are specifically exempted from the government mandate to purchase insurance, and also from the penalty tax for being uninsured. Islam considers insurance to be "gambling", "risk-taking" and "usury" and is thus banned. Muslims are specifically granted exemption based on this. How convenient.

So I will have crippling IRS liens placed against all of my assets,  including realestate, cattle, and even accounts receivables, and will face hard prison time because I refuse to buy insurance or pay the penalty tax. Meanwhile, Louis Farrakhan will have no such penalty and will have 100% of his health needs paid for by the de facto government insurance. Non-Muslims will be paying a tax to subsidize Muslims. Period. This is Dhimmitude. ]]

I've found just the opposite to be true. My wife went to the emergency room years ago and the bill would have been over $2200 til they found out we had no insurance, they cut it to $600. POWDERMAN.

You're a lucky exception maybe based on income criteria... Insurance companies always negogiate lower group rate prices for services....always.

I have a kid, so I go to the ER once a year. I always see some sliding scale posted. As in most places, the Haves cover the bills of the Have Nots.

Don't think you'll ever have equal health care. No matter what kind of system you put in place, there will always be free loaders. And, if this so called Dhimmtude is true, and any religious sect is immune to paying into it,  deny them any coverage. Let them pay out of pocket.
I had a similar experience as powderman. I had hernia surgery, and what my insurance didn't cover, I was responsible for about $1200. I made a couple payments, and was called by a lady from the hospital, in the billing dept. She asked if I would come in, and bring my 1040's. She looked them over, and the $800 I still owed, was wiped off. Couldn't ask for better than that. gypsyman

Obviously, by excusing Muslims and other groups from having to participate, seems to violate the "equal protection under the law" clause of the constitution; not that I believe they should be forced to join the B. Hussein Obama health care plan either..

Other than it being from Karl Marx, do you have an issue with that? Honestly, that is how it works in my family. My wife sucks at cooking, I cook, she still eats.

I suppose. Was not an issue for a time. Learned to cook in college, as that was a part time job. Then for as long as I was single, and well into marriage, neither my wife nor I cooked anything. We used the oven for storage. We are talking over 1000 meals a year, eating in restaurants. Unfortunately, once you have kids, that no longer works. I stepped up.

 The hospital reduced their bills to you. Now did they take a loss, someone else is making up the shortfall or  they overcharged you in the first place ?

I see something in the health care bill from what you guys are saying.  Baptists, Methodists, Catholics, etc, can all file religious exemption.  They can form their own "insurance" and have their "members" exempted.  There will be a lot of new "religions" popping up to avoid a penalty seems like.  I think if the Republicans get in, the health care bill may be dead or replaced.

The problem here is that you folk just dont get it. What might work for your family isnt going to work for this nation. Who in hell is going to lay the golden egg when you socialist folk eat the damned goose?
