Plinking with the 36s
« on: September 19, 2010, 04:06:17 PM »
I spent my day with my son shooting the 36s, it was a nice day to be out and we made new powder measures to hold maybe 10 grains..... It was a hoot just popping away almost 100 roundballs. After we were done and we were walking into the house he told me he had fun..... He said these are fun to play with. I did explain that they could still kill someone but loading down to keep the neighbors from freaking out can still be a fun way to spend the day. We shot some playing cards, a old powder can and some twigs that were between us and the target. And we did mash one spud that just wasn't quick enough to get away.
I hope most of you got to play a little this weekend. It was a great way to spend the day.

Sounds like a good day! Nice to know that 10 grains is enough for plinking with a .36! I'm in the process of buying a .36 rifle and when it arrives I'm looking forward to hunting and plinking with it. At 10 grains a shot a pound of powder will provide lots plinkin'!  :D
