The grip on the first one looks pretty painful.

The second one is down right beautiful.

Not painful at all.  With that brake, even with a 6.5 Leopard (270WSM necked down) and a 130 Berger with a MV of 3085, I can use a rifle scope with a light hold.
That grip is adjustable for angle.

Ah I didn't realize the grip angle was adjustable.  The 90 degree angle with that trigger guard just made my finger tingle a bit, but if you can get it out a bit more I'd reckon that would be pretty comfortable.

Excuse my ignorance, but what type of frames are they?

Chuck McIntosh of Mac’s Gunwork’s did all the work (307-689-2796) on both Specialty Pistols, except fluting the barrel on the BAT.

Rear Grip:
BAT action, Jewell trigger, Krieger 1-8 twist barrel, Mac brake, McRee pistol aluminum stock, Camo cerakote by Chuck.
Chambering is the 6.5 Leopard (270WSM Norma brass necked down-Not a tight neck).
Holland scope level.
H-1000, Fed 210M’s, 130 Berger's @ 3085 fps.
Shot this rig out to 1200 yards confirming drops-Shoots real nice!

Center-Grip:
Remington XP-100 (action completely trued), Lawton 1-9 twist, Holland Radial brake, Seekins picatinny base 20 MOA slope, NF rings with Carlock top ring with level and ACI mount,  Holland level, Leupold Mark 4 first focal plane 6.5-20 with ART reticle, Modified H-S Precision stock.
Chambered in 7mm SA Ultra Mag (7mm SAUM).  162 A-Max @ 2759 fps.

1200 yards!!! Holy mother of God! I can't even shoot a rifle half that distance!

How is the eye relief on the center grip on?  The scope seems to be hanging quite a bit off the back of the gun.

Center-grips allow you to get stretched out more than the rear-grips do.  I move the scope as far back as possible on all my specialty pistols.
I use riflescopes that have longer eye reliefs, Like the Leupold VX-3's LR/T, and Mark 4's, and the NF scopes.  Plan to get a Vortex on a SP in the future.
Glass is a 8-32 NXS on the Leopard and a 6.5-20 Mark 4 on the 7mm SAUM

Here is some info on why using high magnification riflescopes is not as dangerous as it seems.

I forgot who, but someone asked what Chuck charges for this type of camo work.
Cost is $250 and if you want a camo job like mine. The large camo is $200.

I saw the fluted one at chucks awhile back, nice looking rig. Do you just tuck that in your waistband?  ;D
I have a hard enough time hitting that 1200yd gong with my rifle, sure do like having a place to shoot
that far around here .
