Newt for president. Is there a greater intellectual giant today that knows how to put congress to work on things that matter to the US? He's got my vote.

I was newts photographer in 1980 and got to know him well.  he is one of the smartest men I know but as a person, he's a jerk.  I'd vote for him in a heartbeat.

While I don't feel the need to vomit, I do feel the need to give D.C. and enama, and one of the biggest t#8ds in the toilet bowl is Newt. I find it amazing how little many Americans have learned in the past two years. Make that the last 60 years. It makes the term SSDD, more valid than ever.

Being you are an Obamanite I would think that you would have a strong stomach. And why would any of the decent (conservative) people in America care what a liberal parasite thinks!

Newt threw his values in the crapper and I'm not big on second chances.

If the repubnik party is so stupid as to run newt for president. we can look forward to 4 more years of destruction with omama !

At least a Palin + Beck ticket would be totally amusing

Dont think that would fly either but amusing I could take, rather than fear and dread of four more obama years of nightmares!

Its gonna take a conservative, pro Military, died in the wool capitalist to over throw this regime and I frankly dont have a clue who would fit that bill, but a "dark" horse from nowhere won last time so who knows!  ::)

Well with Newt as president we won't have to deal with republican "family values" since he has none. His actions speak volumes like when he served divorce papers to his wife while she is in the hospital fighting cancer.

First of all, it isn't the Republican Party that chooses who runs for President; it is the voters in the primaries.  The same is true of the Dumocrat Party--more, or less.  Be that as it is, I would vote for Newt in a heartbeat if he were to make it through the primaries.  I doubt that would happen, but I'd rather have Newt as President than the piece of shirt that we have now.

First of all! It IS the RNC that chooses who runs for Pres.
You decide from a group of their lackey's. They win with any of the above.

They know that as a good Republican, you will vote for anyone who wins the primary.
Hell! They could run Al Gore as a Republican, and most would vote for him.

Most voters don't have a clue about Newt, but he has to be better than anyone the Democrats would pick to run. And don't even think about a third party vote!  After all......Rush, Glenn, Billy O and Sean like Newt, and that's good enough for me ::)

GOOD GRIEF! Is there anyone left, that can think for themselves? Not enough! It would appear.

While Newt may have some good ideas, he has ruined himself with too much of the country.

When I start looking at people to run the country I sit back and look at their past acheivements.  What they have done that is outside the norm.  How did they do it and what was the final outcome.

Mike Huckabee:  Too far right for most of the country.  Many feel he could not seperate his religion beliefs and his running the country.  Has he ever held public office, if so I can not find that information.  Therefore lack of experience rules him out in my book.  He talks a good talk, but he has never walked the walk.  Most everything I find about him is about attacks he keeps making against Mitt Romney.

Mitt Romney:  Successful business man and entropranure.  Took over the floundering 2002 Olympics and turned it to a huge success.  Govornor of Massachusetts, Anti abortion (except in the case of rape, incest, and to save the life of the mother), Believes in parental notification, Anti Gay Marriage and Unions, Anti Illigal Iimmigrant (thinks they should all be sent back), Believes we need to increase the standards for education.

Sarah Palin:  I don't have to look up nothing on her, I know her personally.  As mayor of Wasillia she did a great job.  She moved the City forward, and made big improvements.  As Governor of Alaska, she got several members of our Legislature sent to prison for corruption.  She moved the state forward on many fronts, and always did what she thought was right for the State Of Alaska.  Energy was very important to her, I think she knows more about energy than anyone currently in any office, and that is one thing the country needs right now.  Sarah feels that many departments of the government are out of control and need to be reigned in, like the EPA, US Fish N Wildlife, National Park Sevice, Dept of Education and many others.  Unfortunately for the state she was FORCED to resign as Governor.  But she still has the power to motivate people and bring them togeather for a common cause.  While I have not always agreed with Sarah, she has what it takes to be a leader.

In my openion Sarah needs a bit more experience on the National Front.  I feel Mitt Romney would be our best bet for president with Sarah Palin as Vice President.  Then Sarah would gain the experience neccessary to become president following Romney.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

I thought early in the primary's Romney looked like the best GOP choice after Paul, but after doing some research on him, I quickly changed my mind.

He is just another big gov. career politician.
Romney is a supporter of the Dept. Of Education. He supported the Brady Bill,Said we needed to get rid of those assault Rifles, and close the gun show loophole. and after saying early on he was no friend to the NRA, he joined them in 2008. "Imagine that"

He mentioned being a gun owner and shooting small game. Later admitted never owning a gun, but saying he used his son's gun in Utah.Research found he was never issued a hunting license in  Mass, or Utah.

During the debate with Kennedy, he said he supports a woman's right to choose. This after running for Governor as anti abortion.

Comes from a family of career politicians. Both his Mother and Father. I think Romney is the opposite of what we need in DC.He talks out of both sides of his mouth in perfect harmony.

How about a Ron Paul, Sarah P. ticket? ;D

Huckabee may be a bit to the right for some but I would give him a chance at one term anyway. He is probably closer to a Constitutionalist more than any other. I like Palin as well but I don't know if it will ever be her time. For the reason that she would have alot of opposition in the house and senate from both sides for what she did to their buddies.

Romney? Uhhh, I just don't know if he would be the choice. Last couple of elections I have written in, "none of the above", or me.

David Patraeus would get a vote from me. Once anyway. Then we would see after that. Hard to say that their will ever be a right choice. From what has been offered up in the past decade or so, it would be easy to there would have been better choices. Hard for me to say being slightly to the right,(of Genghis Kahn  ;D).

Newt had his chance last time and he let us down. The way I see it if he had run last time we might not be stuck with Obama. I hold that and a couple of other things against him. He is plenty smart though.

I can't believe that only the Canuck remembered Huckabee was Governer of Arkansas. Atta boy scatterbrain. I voted for Huck in the primaries last time. Since then he has shown himself to be a little wishy-washy on some things and disappoints me some. He is a Fair Tax guy and I'm a Flat Tax guy. I like him on social  issues. He may be nothing more than a talk show host now.

Romney is too liberal for me. One example is he bankrupt Mass. with single payer Romney Care which isn't much different than Obama Care.

I would like to know more about Patraeus. I like him on  defense, of coarse, but need to know more about other issues.

I like Sarah alot but have to agree with Sourdough on the national experience and would add to that international experience. She would make a great Vice President. She would be the perfect Energy Secretary/Czar, Secretary of Interior or some such thing as that. She will really be up against it if she does run because of the hatred so many have for her.

Ron Paul is too Libratarian for me, but I agree with alot of his ideas like cutting off foreign aid.

I would like to look at Rudy Guiliani again. I think he has become more conservative since Obama got elected. At least he is a good armchair President right now. The fact that he seems to have BECOME more conservative shows some wavering on his part and is bothersome.

I like what I see in Chris Christie alot. I would like to see more and see if he lines up with my social concerns.

Lets face it, there is no George Washington out there yet that I can see.

Right now, if we're looking for the perfect candidate, I would say that anyone who could prevent Osama from doing another term is good enough.  And I'm not particular about how one goes about doing the preventing.  Just get er done.

TM, Newt probably does pretty good on the speech circut. Probably gets $25,000 to $50,000 per talk, just like Clinton. Wouldn't take to many of those a month to keep him going. Newt would not be my first choice. Too much of a NWO'er.
What I'ld like to see is a candidate come out, and say they would kick the U.N. out of this country, eliminate the Dept.'s of Education,Energy, and EPA. Put all the powers of those back into states hands. Wonder how many billions we could save from the Fed. budget, by cutting just those??  gypsyman

First I doubt your nine out of ten figure and I would guess you may claim you were the 10th that has not. Second, most who have do not go around spouting family values as Newt has done unless they are a politician.

Couldn't tell ya how many have had an affair but if the crowd you run with is 9 out of 10 ya might want to check out some new buddies. I believe a man that would cheat on his wife will cheat anyone. To some that have stuped so low this is of no importance , OK i understand , don't agree but do understand birds of a feather flock togather. But and a big but can't we expect the man we trust the keys to the last super power to to not be a proven cheater ?
If ya can see it ya can hit it !
