I'm sorry folks, but is this the turkey that was elected President of our country?

You know, the United States of America ?

I do believe that saluting the flag goes with that, and also to honor the servicemen who died, or is he above that?

Shower us all with flowery words and dazzle us with B.S.

But actions speak louder.  How many passes do you have to give this guy before you realize he is not one of us and is working on his own agenda and is not good for America?  He wont salute our flag and pay respect to our troops but he will bow to a Saudi Prince.  This stinks.

MM3, do not take it to heart.  SD wasn't casting aspersions in your direction.  We know your convictions.  It is my, and others' general thinking that there ARE a host of union members/NRA Supporters/non-Caucasians/Fill-In-The-Blank voters that "do as someone tells them" without regard to gaining the knowledge of the issues and candidates.  Same difference.  It is inherent in any group that there will be those that just go along.

   i have to tell you, probably 75%  of my co workers vote republican.   when i hear myself and them brutalized time after time by the republicans, it wears on a person.   i happen to think that obama and the left want the conservatives to keep bashing the unions, it causes the division and rifts they live off of. 

   my goal is not to disparage or blame someone, i am out there trying to win people to my side of the arguement.  you keep beating up on someone with blanket statements, it causes them to close their mind to the ideas you are trying to put forth.   i see things about the same way as most of you, and it still whizzes me off when i hear time after time people slamming on me and my fellow members.  now if one were to make the distinction between members and the organization; you might make some headway.   
   now i know some of you, many of you, dont give a hoot in hell.  just know you are not helping your cause, you are hurting it.  and if you doubt me, look at the results of the last election.

The President as Commander and Chief could very well salute if he chose to do so. I personally would prefer that he not do so as it would not be given in the spirit of honor associated with the act. In fact, I hope he never learns to hold his hand over his chest and continues to hold both hands as indicated in the picture for the exact same reason ... he does not understand honor.

No, I do doubt that Union members voted for Obama because Republicans expected them to, spite vote was not a factor, but millions of Union members voting for him was.


Myronman3, actually Union members like yourself can do more to put a stop to this perception than any non- member ever could. You fellas can just make you feelings known in public & that you are union members, but choose your own path, non-unions members can't do that for you. If your friends are afraid of this exposure then the problem is as real as many suspect, there should be no problems if the local unions know, right?

we are quite vocal about it at meetings.  in fact, we used to have a demo worshipping sob as local president and we finally rid ourselves of him.  his replacement is not likely to vote democratic, ever.  it is nice to have our local newsletter actually pertain to local events instead of national democratic rhetoric being shoved at us.

The President is also "Commander and Chief" of the armed forces (like it or not) therefore I would think it proper for him to solute his troops.

Crotch Salute?  I thought that might be some kind of Michael Jackson thing.  It may not suit a President, but then Osama isn't really a President now is he?  Coming out on top of an election is only the first step in becoming a President and leader.  This guy went sideways after that.  You can fool all of the people some of the time....
