Another guy went to his stand, and it was occupied

Now I'm glad this wasn't me, but this is one reason I always get a bear tag as I have a permentent stand in a very large pine tree on my ucles place.  But I looked at it yesterday, and it had been occupied and now broken by a very large black bear.

I never found a bear in my treestand, but I have found a raccoon or two...Of course, the one stand was a permanent one and I couldn't tell it was occupied until I stuck my head up over the platform...I reversed pretty quickly when I saw those beady eyes looking at me...I found another stand for that day.

My daughter in law found a copper head under the seat of her tree stand . Said they came eye to eye , glad it was a cold morning.
