RL 17 and 30-06

Anyone with a chrony tried this, specifically with 180 grain bullets?  Their website makes a bold claim, wondering if it is marketing hype or actually possible.  Thanks

I tried some in 30-06 and I worked up to a max 54.5gr/R-17 @ 2790fps with 180gr bullet book was 2762fps then I tried it with a 165gr bullet max load was 56.5/R-17 @ 2714fps book was 2874fps.  Groups were OK  but I didn't switch to it.

I'm using R-17 in a custom 284,280AI and 270WSM and I've been shooting alittle of it in a factory Rem 700 in 280 with 145gr bullets 2900fps plus.  I've also used it in a 7x57 and 300WSM not much luck with it in those rifles.

I've been shooting R-17 about 2yrs now been a good power in the calibers I'm using it in.  Well good luck

I appreciate the factual answer to a specific question.  I'm going to be home for a few days and so I'm going to load up for my new '06.  Went with IMR 4350 but the local shop had the alliant line as well.  I'll try it next, probably. Thanks

I had really good results with it out of my 358 Norma and 225 Accubonds.  Excellent group at 2950fps out of a 24" barrel, I was impressed.  That is the only thing I have tried it out of so far.
