Jesus Christ would not support abortions.
Jesus Christ would not support Homosexuality.
Jesus Christ would not have a Beer Summit.
Jesus Christ would attend church.
How do I know this?
Because I know him personally and I read about Him in his book THE BIBLE.

This is the same person who swore the oath to support and defend the Constitution of this country.Why would you believe that he is telling the truth now?Unless we take our time to go to the polls and cast a vote aginst his outrageous conduct and the conduct of his supporters we deserve to fail as a democracy.I personally am tired of the conduct of our career politicans and the judges who rule aginst and limit our religious freedom under the guise of seperating church and state.Let the silent majority rise up and tell them that enough is enough.The Presidents agenda can not go forward without the support of congress,Take that few minutes that it takes to vote and remove these bums.When they are replaced demand a two term limit be imposed on our new representives and demand that they support and defend our Constitution or be removed from office.

well ive kinda learned to be very slow to judge a man..mabe hes just doing what i believe was advocated in marx works..the end justifies any means..

could be he is christian s far as he is concerned..
i just know his goals for this country seem very different than mine..so he will not get my vote
even if he reads the new testiment every day..

i just wish the first black president had been one,, who i could support..
it would have been a real strengthening factor for this country..
brought us togather rather than cause us to be so devided..
it would have taken a truely great man who believed in individual freedom that made this country,
the great country it was..
but change is constant..the boss is still in total control.. we havn t exactly acted as one nation under god,for a while now..i pray to him for a miracle ..id like my grandkids to know what true freedom of choice is..
comes a time though possibly,, when the good will suffer with the bad..not saying i havn t been bad or wrong many times..without the christ the president indicates he believes in ..we would all be without hope..

1st The wine you spoke about was not firmented just grape or some other juice.In the book of Proverbs it says not to even look at it much less drink it.
2nd The only summit Jesus invited people to was that they come to him for salvation or healing.The same call goes out today Come unto me.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death,but the gift of God is eternal life thru Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
If yellow would do this that end most if not all of his arguments.

I know that many other Christians think that also. But the Webster's Dictionary defines wine as the fermented juice of grapes ....etc:

I've studied this to some extent when I first got saved many years ago, and my conclusion is that what our Lord turned the water into was truely a wine and not a juice. I don't expect to convince anyone, just my two cents worth.

I've read John. It seems pretty clear that Jesus created wine there at that wedding; I'm literate, and that's what it says. If you're interested in what it says as opposed to what you've been told it says, read it again, read it in context it is written, and without ideological blinders on (many of us have worn them, unknowingly). I, too, bought that bit about grape juice for years,but it's some hooey that fits the ideology of some of our fundamentalist brethren, and not what the scripture says.

That's silly, too, in that it has nothing to do with President Obama's testimony. He's the President of the United State - elected by the people - not the messiah. So standards and expectations for what he does are of course a bit diff than for Jesus, but have no bearing on his faith. Get a grip, brother. Don't confuse the Gospel with GOP.

That would be a no brainer in Germany, but in many protestant faiths in the U.S.A. it is shunned. Even a non-Christian would jump on that in a heartbeat.

On the other hand, some foreign countries, the Christians wouldn't have anything to do with one that invited them over for coffee, and for sure don't get caught chewing gum.

Friend of mine was raised in a fundamentalist household, alcohol considered verboten. She was an exchange student, spent a year with a Christian host family in Germany... was at some church function, someone offered her some wine, and she overhead someone else say to that person, "don't, she's an American,she'll be offended" or something to that effect. Gave her the perspective that her fundamentalist Christian standard wasn't universally accepted by believing Christians elsewhere. She's sharp. She latter graduated from BJU.

While I do not see where the use of wine is strictly forbidden and it does say that some wine could be given to those who are about to die or suffering from mental disabilities. (Prov 31:6)
It does however, warn against it's careless usage, perhaps usage at all (Prov 20:1) and we are clearly warned about serving our friends drink until they are not clear in their thoughts (Hab 2:15,16). I see it, especially (Prov 20:1) and (Ecc 2:3) as being a case of, "a word to the wise, is sufficient"; therefore I don't use the stuff at all..no chance to offend God there!
   The preacher is undoubtedly familiar with the Greek term which is translated today as "wine"...a term in Koine Greek which can cover the same material from fresh squeezed juice to fermented wine. Vinegar is translated as such.
   I won't debate the issue, because leaning either way will not send one to Hell.

   I did see/hear Obama's statement about how he became a Christian..I won't judge ...but it did not sound like a solid testimony..no mention of the 'sinner's prayer' or the admonition "by faith through grace". ...And there is NO WAY any real Christian I know wouls "accidently" say "my Muslim faith"..

I'm not into politics. Just too many lies by most involved. But from what I've personaly seen of Obama's actions. They scream Muslim a lot louder than the whispers of anything else.

This who's a Christian & who isn't a Christian topic reminded me of a conversation I had with a Mormon who stopped by my house on a witness trip. Near the end of a long sermon from him I asked if he believed only Mormons would go to heaven. He answered, "Well, yes, I do believe that."

I replied, "Then you're not a member of a church. You're a member of a cult."

We have cult members here who set themselves up as god-like judges and basically say only Republicans will go to heaven. I say they will have tough questions to answer at the Pearly Gates.

junior. I've seen nobody here say that. The dems support and promote homosexuality and killing babies at will, part of their platform. I know dems who don't agree with that but they still belong to the only party that does and vote for dems no matter what. Only God can judge them, certainly not me. Even though I'd only voted for 1 dem in the last 30+ years I'd been registered as a dem. After osama was elected by low lifes, blacks, and libs, we changed our voter registration to rep, should have done it many year ago. I don't want to meet my maker with my name associated with a party who supports and promotes these abominable acts and that has no morals or family values. I tell it like I see it. POWDERMAN.
