Pickup this up on craiglist for 50. bucks. Was in parts ,had to put the side covers back on.The owner said it was over heating.Had a crack in the carburetor boot going into the head.Hose clamp fix.Smokes a little when started up after that stops.Still has original tires. It's a  95 yamaha moto-4 350  2 wheel drive.

were those air or water cooled? im thinkin air cooled. could the lean condition caused by the intake leak of caused the over heating?if water cooled a lot of times the thermostatatic switch would go out and we just hooked the fan up on a toggle switch.looks like a heck of a buy. ive bought some old wheelers like that and drove them for years. the ones that didnt work out i would part them out over the winter on ebay and ussually came out way ahead of what i had in them. good luk with it!

i had a warrior with that same motor in it that i ran for years. I ran the crap out of it and it to smoked when first started and used a bit of oil but it still ran strong and was reliable. It ended up burning in my barn fire or it still would be going im sure.

Ah the Moto-4.   There were a couple of those in different displacements if I recall correctly.  I had one in a 200 Moto-4.   Great machines.  $50.00 is hard to beat.

That Yamaha 350 will run for a long time.  Try running thicker oil like 15w-40 (rotella) in it.  It might help seal the rings up.  Losing your job just sucks.  I wish it would happen to everyone once.  Maybe the executives would try harder before cutting folks.
