oval stage
« on: October 02, 2010, 10:47:18 AM »
I'm back to work at my regular job and my latest project is for a medical imaging company. Here is a couple of pics. I'll post some more when it is more along.

Reception counter.

The oval stage. 20' x 15'. 12 sheets of 3/4" cdx. I had to square all the edges so I had to handle each sheet 4 times. I ain't as young as I used to be. I laid out the oval with string. Had an audience too. ;D

I don't think they've ever seen that before.

The banner frame for the front of the reception counter will came in today so I will be back on that next week.

Finished building the reception counter. This is the client side.

Here's an end panel to cover up the banner and frame.

It also breaks in half to use as a smaller cabinet with an additional end panel that bolts on where the center section splits. I got a pic of this with the frame in place, I forgot to take one when it was all together.

Here's the finished product after I laminated it and put it back together.

This one's a little fuzzy. Front view with banner frames in place.

Another a little clearer.

and the inside of the reception counter.

It splits in half and there is a seperate side panel if they want to use the smaller section. It came out really nice, got lots of compliments from management and a couple of clients that just happened to be taking a tour of the shop.

GRIMJIM,
My brother is at a convention in San Diego right now.  He works for Tomotherepy.  He called me today and told me he was looking at your oval stage.  I previously sent him pictures of it.  You're famous! :o :o  You are in Southern California. 8) 8)
Can I have your autograph? :D
