The feds are now requiring changing street signs in major cities, not sure how widespread it is. NYC will put out $27 million to comply. No more all capitol letters, only the first letter is allowed. What gives osamas feds the right to tell a city how to letter a sign?? POWDERMAN.

It appears from my 2 minutes of research that the rule on this came down in 2003 and states had 15 years to comply.

It doesnt matter who is involved it is stupid and it is a ridiculous waste of money and I can tell you from an E.M.S. standpoint(at least for me) street signs in all caps are easier to read especially at three in the morning and it is raining or snowing and you havent slept in the past 24 hours.

But I guess some limp wristed politician knows best.

The old mayor in Toledo, a Democrat, years back, said the fire hydrants looked ugly painted bright yellow, so wanted to have the street crews repaint them either green or white. The fire dept. talked him out of that one. Call em like I see em. gypsyman
