The answer to the 'victory mosque'..pass it on..

 It has occured to me that that there is a fairly simple answer to the 'victory mosque' and all other mosques which may be a bit overbearing.
  Evidently, the duty of each worshipper in mosques several times a day, to face east, bow and prostrate themselves toward the east.
 Those of us who are Christian and do not appreciate what was done on 9/11, the dancing in the streets the following day or the continued terrorism, can vote with a small gesture.
     Let's each erect a plain, white cross in or near our home. Take a compass or observe the setting sun and be sure the cross is facing directly west. That way when Osama's minions here, when they bow, scrape and prostrate themselves..will be doing it toward the CROSS.. or thousands of them.
   If they do it someday in  a 'victory mosque', they will be prostrating before thousands of CROSSES..if they are bowing and prostrating in Santa Barbara..they will be paying homage to perhaps a couple million CROSSES..       Pass it on..

The A nti  C hristian  L iars  U nion has come out in support of the Godless ones wanting to build one of their lairs over in the Eastern part of my State after the county denied a building permit. What ever happened to calling it the Cordoba Mosque? Oh yea, when everyone found out what Cordoba was all about they quit calling it that. Cordoba, as in the Muslim conquest of Spain and the Mosque they built as a monument to their victory. It's a long tradition that comes from their teachings of world domination. A group called the Cordoba Initiative is the brainchild of this Mosque.

But then a 'religious awakening' took place and their power dissapated into warring tribes and Islamic fanaticism. By 1935, the the last vestiges of the Ottoman Empire was in Turkey, where sick of such silliness, a Turkish Republic was instituted and the old cathedral was turned into a museum..The Hagia Sophia. Turkey advanced, and in recent years has beeen applying for membership in NATO.
    ...But the nutsies have again risen there and a couple years ago, elected many hard-line Islamicists into power in their national government.
    ..Who knows where that will lead them?

And saying, "good American people are figuring it out", means America is a really bad place according to you. You are in the minority in this country since all the opinion polls show that the majority of Americans believe that the Cordoba Mosque should not be built and that 9/11 was a terrorist act concieved and carried out by Muslims and not a conspiracy by George Bush.

Fact is, America was supose to have been founded on religious freedom. However, comon sense and reason has to come into play at some point. Muslims should realise that they were invited to be here in the first place. Guests in one's home should not make demands. Don't like it, simply leave. You can argue the right and wrong of it till you give yourselve's ulcers. But, lets say a car load of inocent people, kids included, are killed in your neighborhood by a drunk driver. One who has a long record of drunk driving and many acounts of showing contempt for laws and inocent people. How would you feel, if soon after, the drunk drivers family decided to open a bar at, or very near, the crash site? Sure, if all laws are followed they would have every right to do so. But it sure would be an obvious insult to the family, friends, and neighbors of those killed now wouldn't it? Not to even mention an insult to the memory of those killed. At best it would be in very very poor taste! Now, please exsplain to me the differance in that and the Muslims wishing to build a mosque near ground zero? Legal, yes. An obvious insult? Probably. You know? One would think that that would make the owner's of the bar, or at least the bartender who served them, acceseries to murder. I'll bet a good attorney could have won such a case. But you know the main point I see in it? Peoples lack of caring enough to get involved.  One of the things I see as wrong in our day and age is that everyone has an opinion about what's right and what's wrong but very few are willing to actually do anything to change the things that are wrong and expect the things that are right to always be there.

Where did that artist drawing rendering come from at beginning of this thread. The article werckhog posted says its only 16 stories. The artist drawing seemed much taller than 16 stories.

NEW YORK (CBS 2) – The first artist renderings of the proposed Islamic community center near ground zero have been released.

The pictures of Park 51, unveiled by SOMA Architects, show a white building with a futuristic, honeycomb-like openings all along its façade.

The developer said the 16-story tower would contain sports and fitness facilities as well as a childcare center, culinary school and auditorium.
