Rossi Wizard barrel .454 to .460?
« on: October 03, 2010, 08:46:54 PM »
I saw on able ammo that they have listed a .454 casull barrel, but they are out of stock.  But they are not listed on the rossi site as one of the replacement barrels.  My question is, if it exists would if be feasible and SAFE to ream it to .460 s&w like so many do with their .357 mag to .357 max handis?  I have no real need to, I just thought it would be interesting to have all three options.

I am looking at getting a Wizard, but the barrels I most want are only available as accessory barrels, not as complete rifles.  I may get a 223 so I can get other barrels.  I would be most interested in the 44 magnum, 7.62x39, and 45-70.  The 454 and 35 Whelen would be considered also.  I hope the 454 and 35 whelen become available. So far I have seen Wizards on sale at a couple of locations.  Most of them (not all) have had loose butt stocks though.  I dont understand why that is, but it seems like it is a major problem for them.  I wont buy one with a loose stock.

I know Quickdtoo and others have reamed their handi-rifles to .460 also and .454 in the .45 Colt BC.  I have a .45 Colt, but mines stayin .45 Colt.  ;)
