Little bit of a surprise when I found him like this .
If an animal activist is being mauled by a bear should we stop it , or , " let nature take its course?"

Dan ,good pic--sometimes those beav do funny things.I have caught several by the tail,and quite a few by the front foot ,when I used montgomery 600s.But the one that really got me,was the one I caught by the castors--you talk about bad luck on his part,  lol.   Tom

Here's just how I found it . It was caught in a #280 magnum in a blind set.The other pic is a rat caught the same night in a coon pocket . Bad luck for both that night .
 The beaver pic isnt real clear but you get the jist of it .

Dan,thank you for the info--that is why I quit using the montgomery 600{they were the first 280 mag}.Beaver try to get over those 280s and end up foot caught.
 I quit using them the day I had 3 by the front foot.  Tom

So your saying thats not a good beaver trap ? I never used them for beaver before and was just trying something new . Thank you for the info . I do like what they do to skunks and coons . The last skunk I got in one never moved the trap from the stand and didnt spray .
