Yugo M59 & M59/66 sks's Offered again
« on: October 05, 2010, 11:07:24 AM »
www.samcoglobal.com  Has yugo sks's again in all conditions and some in unissued conditions too so move quickly if you want one.  I'm not sure how much more we will see the M59's being offered.  I guess the yugo's out produced the chinese with military sks's but the chinese manufactured many different models of the sks.

I really don't know what will runout first the mausers, the mosins or the yugo sks's????

Mine was $159.95 and was NEW, believe it or not.  So the question becomes: why didn't I buy two?  The photo is 3 shots @ 50 yards using surplus 4895 and ww alloy 311041 bullets @ 1700 fps and with the gas block off and using Williams peep rear and Fire Sight front.

This isn't the list price too.  SOG(southern ohio gun) is the only one who gives the list(retail) price and our price on there stuff.  The retail cost now is around $500 and it can be higher in some cases.  So really what were spending now there is a margin of profit to be made already. Again i predict when the yugo sks's and some of the romanian sks's finally dryup the sks's will really jump in price then.

I had a bad experience with SAMCO. I had mailed in a signed copy of my C&R and a picture of my Illinois FOID card. Then I tried to order a Yugo SKS online. A week later having heard nothing I emailed them an inquiry on my order. They emailed me back saying they had no record of my C&R. So I emailed a copy of both it and my FOID card. A week later they call me up and say they still did not have a copy of my C&R. (At least that is what I am thinking they were saying, the woman who called me had such a Cuban accent I could understand about 1 word in 3. So I email them another copy. 2 days later they call me and I think they were telling my they had no copy of my FOID card. (Same woman, same problem) At this point I had it and told them to cancel the order, turned around, and got an unissued Yugo for only 10 bucks more from another online place with no muss, no fuss.

At least have somebody making the phone call that actually can speak English! Sheesh.

One time i let my ffl03 C&R license expire and i ordered ammo from them.  They refused to sell it to me without my C&R being renewed.

There is no way a Yugo will ever be worth $500 retail. Some pristine Russian might or the rare version we can't get...  For that, an AK variant can be purchased.  The cheap AK variants that are out there now will keep the value down.  Samco is stretching it a bit trying to get more than they did a year ago.  I love for values of my guns to go up, but $500 is not happening any time soon.

The value of the sks's are tipping the $300 to $399 mark now for the yugo and romanian sks's.  I think it pushes the limits on pricing on the albanian, the russian and chinese just a tad higher but well over $500 now, right now.  One albanian sks just sold for $750 on the net. We will continue to see sks's priced at $200 and up from the private sector(personal sks/gun shows) but these will be scarce soon too.  My point is to wake up if anyone wants one or wants to collect them from different countries before the price hits $1,000.  You still have a chance right now to get them.                                                                                              11czy
