I just wrote a nice reply on how I did the stake on sight swap and promptly lost it! So here's a good write up on stake on sight replacement...

Yer welcome. Like a lot of gun repairs/upgrades the tools are the most important factor. I bought an Armory Sight Tool from anothe forum member. (less than the Brownell's equivilant) and made my own jig. More time went into fitting and securing the new sight and learning the staking tool than the actual "staking". I did a pretty good job (I've been working with metal most of my life), if I do say so myself, and working on your own gun is very satisfying. Now I gotta put my M92 back together... ???
