B Hussein obama.."detatched and losing it"
« on: October 07, 2010, 12:01:39 AM »
Perhaps this is where the sudden chatter about Hitlery Clinton for VP has come from. This article, from an interview with an insider of the administration, although obviously a Clinton booster..has some interesting perspectives..

I think that the VP nominee is a counter to the opposing candidate. Last minute decision, although of course there is a short list. Who will Palin's VP be? I am betting on Colin Powell.

Now there is a losing combo IMO. As a conservative Caucasian I could never vote for that.

Yes. Interesting article. I can say I am not overly surprised by it. I didn't expect that much of it though.
Colin Powell? Personally my opinion of Condi Rice is much higher. Colin Powell, though I respect his military service immensly,I do not see him as well versed in politics. All IMO of course.

IIRC yes. Powell was also white house mil staff/aid when Reagan was in office. Reagan asked Powell for advice on withdrawel from lebanon after the marine barracks bombing, Powell was reported as not being much help with the question. I just do not see where he has the political ambition, inclination, or conviction, to be in office.

Powell is a moderate, has been his entire life. Was and probably still is a registered independant. Normally that means someone who is either a whacko or not a team player. He has proven himself a team player with all parties. He has also been Secretary of State, Chairman of JCS, and a whole lot of other stuff.

I am not saying that he would make a great President. I am saying that he would take the edge off a Palin Presidential run and pull moderates, and maybe some extremists from Obama. He has a great resume, and he is a black military man. What could Obama put up against that? He would probably have to run Hil as VP just to get a woman on his team (he really could not pick another female Democrat, it would be pointless).

He was an affirmative action general and  Secretary
of state. He supported Obama in 08, which in my view makes him not worth voting for as dog catcher.

The folks here who call themselves "moderates" are nothing but liberals who are in the closet still. Nothing but a bunch of back stabbing parasites. In my opinion they are worse that liberals as they are to big of cowards to show thier hand.

I see "moderates" as being a very rare animal. Most of the time they are either gutless people, afraid to commit to anything firmly...or closet liberals..those liberals who can't fully bring themselves to endorse full-blown progressivism, Euro-socialism or Marxism.'
As far a Powell..fair as a general, would not be worth a bucket of warm spit as a prez.

I am still amazed how the article describes BHO as "powerful" and possessing great amounts of oratory skill. Where is the powerful ? Is it in his basketball jump-shots ?
As far as oratory skills...anybody can read a speech prepared by a ghost-writer..from a teleprompter. I am very inclined to believe that the great oratory skills description comes from his dizzy fans. To some fans of certain rock bands, the band could play outright garbage, and those same rabid fans would swoon and wet their pants anyway..  Samo..samo !
A bit early to conjecture upon who the Republicans or Tea Party will sponsor, but contrary to what the article says (no viable conservative opponent), thgere are several combinations which would be good..e.g. Bobby Jindal of Louisana for prez and Michelle Bachman of Minnesota for VP..
..But there is time left and after the nuttiness, spending....and bowing to Muslim potentates of the present administration, for thinking people, Ron Paul my be looking better with every passing week !

Interesting thread.
It should not come as a suprise that Obama was not/is not/never has been, heavy enough for the job.
His is not intellectually ( and there is no racism in this thought ) up to the work involved---much like Carter, he just doesn't understand the job.
He, as did Carter, thinks/thought that the job would just take care of itself and all he/they had to do was speak and it would happen.
He cannot be public again--as did Carter--when it becomes obvious that they are to shallow for the work they must hide.
You just can't cover up incompetence.
I am not really sure that Palin is not the same way. Charismatic, yes, but heavy and savvy enough---I have doubts.
Let's worry about the voes RIGHT NOW---the Congress is the ultimate failure.

Good post , Its a shame this great country can't come up with another great leader . Why is that ? Maybe those doing the picking need changing also. Maybe we need to reform both parties getting rid of the life long political leeches.

At least Palin doesn't need a teleprompter, and can ad-lib like she did in her acceptance speach.  She has genuine convictions, and lives them.

35% is nothing to sneeze at.

PRINCETON, NJ -- Thus far in 2009, 40% of Americans interviewed in national Gallup Poll surveys describe their political views as conservative, 35% as moderate, and 21% as liberal. This represents a slight increase for conservatism in the U.S. since 2008, returning it to a level last seen in 2004. The 21% calling themselves liberal is in line with findings throughout this decade, but is up from the 1990s.

I believe that number is MUCH higher, they are ashamed to admit it, and rightly so. I'd imagine most so called moderates are really libs but ashamed to admit it. If only 21 % are libs, how did osama get elected??? POWDERMAN.  :P :P

When you take 90% of blacks, 65% of Hispanics, and at least 10% of white elitists (professor types).  Blacks consist of about 15% of the population, Hispanics about 15%, then you have of the total population of about 30% who always vote liberal or for a Democrat.  About 40% always vote conservative, why is it so hard to covince 10% of the so called moderates or independent to vote for a conservative?

First, the article cannot be taken seriously. There is no source or any kind of documentation. A high school kid could have come up with that. Now if by chance the article is basically the truth, many of you should be ecstatic since he is not doing squat, how is he going to push his "socialistic agenda" through?

I have little use for anonymous sources and even less for  armchair psychiatry.  It is obvious, however,  from Obama's admissions in his book, Dreams From My Father, that he is profoundly screwed up emotionally, separate and apart from his admitted heavy drug  abuse.

I have read his book, several times actually.  It is the most bizarre book by any important personality, either past or present, that I have ever read.  It has a weird, almost psychadelic quality, as though written by one bleary eyed drug addicted visionary for the consumption of other  bleary eyed drug addicted visionaries in the 1960's.  (Reminds me of the nauseating, sickly sweet  smell of  marijuana smoke  in the hall ways of  UCLA during the Viet Nam War.)  He does kind of sober up, however,  when he's writing about dirty rotten white people and the "poison of European culture."

I  am still reeling from the fact that someone could be elected President of the United States after  publishing something so weird. This book is a "best seller" which means many people bought it. I suspect very few people actually read it.   (I filpped through the "Audacity of Hope", his second book,  but  much of the prose was simply  recycled from "Dreams From My Father" and I passed on it.)

Here's a link to the Lyndon Larouche web site where he's calling for removal of Obama from office under the 25th Amendment for psychological disability.  Larouche is hardly a mainstream figure, but Obama's detached, robotic behavior suggests there is something very weird  about this guy  in as much as this theme of mental disability seems to be cropping up in various places on the net.
