abuse of muslim women.

Quote
Wife-beating: “The Qur’an states “…Righteous women are therefore obedient. And those you fear may be rebellious (nushuz) admonish them; banish them to their couches, and beat them…” (Qur’an al...-Nisa 4: 34).

Female Genital Mutilation or Cutting:
“Umm Atiyya al-Ansarite narrated that a woman used to circumcise in Medina, and the prophet said to her, ‘Do not overdo it, because this makes woman more favorable and it is more agreeable for the husband” (Sahih al-Bukhari, Libas, hadith no. 64).

“A’isha narrated an authentic hadith that the prophet Muhammad said: When a man sits between the four parts (arms and legs of his wife) and the two circumcised parts meet, then ablution is obligatory" (Sahih Muslim, hadith no. 349). By the two circumcised parts the prophet Muhammad meant the circumcised (censored word) of the man and the circumcised (censored word) of the woman.

“The prophet Muhammad said, Circumcision is a sunna for men and a preservation of honour for women” (Hadith of Abu al-Malik and Abu Dawud).

Female Child-Marriage:
“The prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with A’isha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death)” (Sahih al-Bukhari, book 62, hadith no. 89). The Qur’an said, “Such of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the prescribed period, if ye have any doubts, is three months, and for those who have no courses (it is the same): for those who carry (life within their wombs), their period is until they deliver their burdens: and for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy” (Qur’an Surah Al-Talaq 65: 4).

Polygamy:
Qur’anic authority, “… marry of the women who seem good to you, two or three or four and if ye fear that ye cannot do justice (to so many) then one (only) or (the captives) that your right hands possess” (Qur’an Surah al-Nissa 4: 3).

Burqa:
“Ibn Tayimiyyah said, Women used to roam about without Cloaks (Jilbaabs) and men used to see their faces and hands, but when the verse stating 'O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks over themselves.' (Surah Al-Ahzaab, verse no. 59) was revealed, then this was prohibited and women were ordered to wear the Jilbaab. Then Ibn Tayimiyyah goes on to say "The word Jilbaab means a sheet which Ibn Mas'ud explained as a cloak covering the entire body including the head, face, and hands. Therefore, it is not permissible for the women to reveal the face and hands in public” (Ibn Taymiyyah's book on fatwaas p, 110 Vol, 2 also in the book Hijaab p. 15).

A divorced Muslim woman can't go back to her husband unless she has sex with another man,
“And if the husband divorces his wife (for the third time), she shall not remain his lawful wife after this (absolute) divorce, unless she marries another husband and the second husband divorces her. (In that case) there is no harm if they [the first couple] remarry,” (Sayyid Abul A’La Maududi, The Meaning of the Qur’an, vol. 1, p. 165, Surah al-Baqarah 2: 230).

"Aisha said, the woman of Rafa'a al-Qarzi came to the prophet Muhammad and told him: "Abdul-Rahman has divorced me and I was with him like a piece of his cloth (without having any sexual intercourse with me), the prophet told her you cannot go back to your husband until you taste his honey and Abdul-Rahman tastes your honey`` (Sahih al-Bukhari).

"In his book, "Asbab al-Nuzul" (p. 46), the Suyuti states that a woman came to the prophet Muhammad and told him: "Abdul-Rahman (the Muhalil whom she wed after she was divorced three times) has divorced me without having any sexual intercourse with me. May I go back to my ex-husband?' Muhammad said to her: ‘No, that is not permissible until Abdul-Rahman has sex with you first, then you may go back to Rafa'a."

Women are deficient in Gratitude and as Witness:
The Qur’an states, “And call in to witness two witnesses, men; or if the two be not men, then one man and two women, such witness as you approve of, that if one woman errs the other will remind her.” (Q 2: 282)

.“Women are ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors and the good (charitable) deeds done to them. If you have always been good (benevolent) to one of them and then she sees something in you (not of her liking), she will say, ‘I have never received any good from you.” (Bukhari Vol. 1 hadith No. 28.)

“Allah’s apostle said, “When a woman comes, she comes in the form of Satan and when she goes, she goes in the form of Satan” (Sahih Muslim, hadith no. 3240).

"When a woman comes she comes in the form of a devil " (Sahih Muslim, hadith No. 3240).

The Prophet said: 'I have not left any calamity [fitnah] after me more detrimental to men than women. (Bukhari and Muslim agreed upon this Hadith. Bukhari, Vol. VII, hadith No. 33).

“Allah’s apostle once said to a group of women; “I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious, sensible man can be led astray by some of you.” The women asked: “O Allah’s Apostle, what is deficient in our intelligence and religion?” He said: “Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?” They replied in the affirmative. He said: “This is the deficiency of your intelligence.”…“Isn’t it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?” The women replied in the affirmative. He said: ‘This is the deficiency in your religion” (Sahih al-Bukhari, hadith No. 301 and 856).

"O women! Give alms, as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women) (Bukhari Vol. 1, Hadith No. 301).

"Amongst the inmates of Paradise the women would form the minority (Sahih Muslim, hadith No. 6600.)

If you prove all these hadiths and verses are my making I will stop posting anything more about the teachings of Islam on women, although I have hundreds more. However, if you fail to do so I will continue exposing the negative teachings of Islam about women.

I would like to add to this note what the greatest Muslim scholar ever existed after the prophet Muhammad had said about the WOMAN,

The Imam Abu Hamid Al-Ghazali is considered to be the greatest Muslim theologian ever existed after the prophet Muhammad. He is called "The Defender of Islam". He has written around 1,000 books in the Fiqah of Islam. In his well-renown Book, "The Revival of the Religious Sciences" Al-Ghazali defines the woman's role as:
- She should stay at home and get on with her spinning
- She can go out only in emergencies.
- She must not be well-informed nor must she be communicative with her neighbours and only visit them when absolutely necessary.
- She should take care of her husband and respect him in his presence and his absence and seek to satisfy him in everything.
- She must not leave her house without his permission and if given his permission she must leave secretly.
- She should put on old clothes and take deserted streets and alleys, avoid markets, and make sure that a stranger does not hear her voice, her footsteps, smell her or recognize her.
- She must not speak to a friend of her husband even in need.
- Her sole worry should be her "al bud" (reproductive organs) her home as well as her prayers and her fast (starvation for Allah).
- If a friend of her husband calls when her husband is absent she must not open the door nor reply to him in order to safeguard her "al bud" ((censored word)).
- She should accept what her husband gives her as sufficient sexual needs at any moment.
- She should be clean and ready to satisfy her husband's sexual needs at any moment.

The great theologian then warns all men to be careful of women for their "guile is immense and their mischief is noxious; they are immoral and mean spirited”. Like a true Muslim cleric al-Ghazali states "It is a fact that all the trials, misfortunes and woes which befall men come from women". [3.2]

In his Book "Counsel for Kings," Ghazali sums up all that a woman has to endure because of Eve's misbehaviour in the Garden of Eden:
"When Eve ate fruit which He had forbidden to her from the tree in Paradise, the Lord, be He praised, cursed women with eighteen punishments:
-Menstruation;
- Childbirth;
- Separation from mother and father and marriage to a stranger;
- Pregnancy;
- Not having control over her own person;
- A lesser share in inheritance; (one half of the male as per the Quran)
- Her liability to be divorced and inability to divorce;
- Its being lawful for men to have four wives, but for a woman to have only one husband;
- The fact that she must stay secluded in the house;
- The fact that she must keep her head covered inside the house;
- The fact that two women's testimony has to be set against the testimony of one man;
- The fact that she must not go out of the house unless accompanied by a near relative;
- The fact that men take part in Friday and feast day prayers and funerals while women do not;
- Disqualification for leadership and judgeship;
- The fact that merit has one thousand components, only one of which is attributable to women, while 999 are attributable to men;
- The fact that if women are profligate they will be given twice as much torment as the rest of the community at the Resurrection Day;
- The fact that if their husbands die they must observe a waiting period of four months and ten days before remarrying.

The idea that a woman's sole purpose and "duty is to stay at home to satisfy the sexual appetite of her husband" is again summed up in Ghazali's Book "Proof of Islam." Ghazali is still so highly revered amongst the majority of Muslim clerics that that he is called "Proof of Islam". The most influential thinker of Islam, Ghazali, moulded the minds of billions of Muslims with his opinions on women's character: "If you relax the woman's leash a tiny bit, she will take you and bolt wildly.... Their deception is awesome and their wickedness is contagious; bad character and feeble mind are their predominant traits ..." [R2].
