Careful with that M95 Steyr

That bolt head will "Snap back" when the bolt is out of the rifle
also. It will pinch the S#%T out of your finger when it does!.
Another thing is that you should never lower the "Firing Pin"
with a round in the chamber. The firing pin protrudes slightly
when it is "At Rest" and can crush the primer enouth to fire the round.
I have never seen one that does not protrude a little.
Ammo is getting very scarce also, when you find some you
should stock up.

I'm still on the fence as to whether I want to purchase one of these rifles.  I really like the straight pull but am kinda hesitant being that ammo isn't easy to come by and not cheap.  I've also heard that they have some pretty stiff recoil to them, true?

Recoil is a little on the stout side but I do really enjoy
shooting these little rifles. Ammo cases can be made
from 7.62X53 (54) Russian cases but the .329 diameter
bullets to load in them are costly.

I have an M95. Picked up RCBS dies on eBay, made my own brass from 7.62X54R and cast my own bullets. Lee actually makes a mold specifically for this calibre. I'm not a big fan of Lee molds, but for the price it is okay. If I shot the rifle more, I'd probably get a custom mold cut for it.
