3.5" 12 gauge load
« on: December 08, 2003, 03:25:04 AM »
Try as i might, i can not find a load for 3.5 inch with lead shot, except turkey loads with # 8 or so. Anybody know of a load for # 2 shot.
Also, i was thinking of buying an extra full choke to try to keep tighter patters,  Is this too tight for # 2 or should i stick with a full choke.?

Shotshells are loaded by shot weight, not shot size. Any load you have for #8 shot will work with another size, say #2.

#8's for turkey?

Hodgdon and Alliant (and probably others) have load information on lead shot in 3 1/2" hulls in their free loading guides.

Choke? I like a full, but that's just my preference. Works good for me in my shooting circumstances, never had reason to go to anything tighter.
