Hornady "One Shot" case lube

Has anyone had any experience with this stuff??  It sounds easy to use, if it works it would be a lot more convenient, less mess and maybe even no more dented cases!!???

One Shot Lube

I used to use it but switched to Midway/USA's Pump spray case lube as it is more economical.  Be sure to lube the inside of the necks of rifle brass if you are not using collet dies as this helps eliminate stretching.  I prefer to use mica (also available from Midway) for this.

Reckon I've tried all the spray lubes as I've lubed my last case any other way. I feel the RCBS is superior to all others. Seems to require less effort to size using it than the others. Haven't tried the Hornady tho as it is an aresol can and that isn't very economical. The RCBS is a pump bottle and I use a bunch of them a year.

Hornady one shot is all I use, but I will admit that I have not tried the RCBS or the Midway spray lubes. Like loader 3009 said be sure and lube the necks. I do this by just making sure that I hold the can at about a 45 degree angle to the cases and spray so that some of the lube hits the inside of the necks. Then turn the loading block 180 degrees and spray the other side. After sizing I wipe each case with a towel and then finish my loading.

I like it mostly because it makes it easy to get inside the necks.  As far as being the best lube around, I don't think it is that, but it's as good as the others.  I've used lots of different lubes, including wire pull lube (which is very eceonomical - big container little muny).  Reason I use One-Shot is that my smithy has it on his counter and easy to pick up.  sundog

It seems to leave more residue than the others but works great. White, flaky stuff. Mebbe I'm getting a little happy with the spray button ....

I use the Dillon primarily now and cut it with alcohol.

thats the one thing I've noticed too. Looks like it builds up in the dies, but does clean off rather easy. Other than that, I like it.

I have been using the One Shot for a couple of years. I like it because it is quick and easy to use. I also, on occasion, use the Imperial which is an excellent product.

Geno is right it will eventually build up in your dies but it is so easy to clean that it is a non-issue. Just step outside with your die and a can of either gunscrubber spray or a can of brake cleaner and spray it into the die. Make sure to aim the spray into all parts of the die and aim the bottom of the die away from yourself.(unless you like to smell like brake cleaner) After you are finished just blow into the die with an air compresser or canned air. This will dry it out.(both cleaners are fast drying but this helps to get it all out quickly) This is how I clean my dies and you don't have to take them apart and readjust them.

I agree with Graybeard.  I like the RCBS.  I used the One Shot for awhile then I got a stuck case.  Unknow if I used enought of it or what.  I put the cases in a cardboard box and sprayed them.  One out of fifty stuck.   Switched to RCBS and have not had a proiblem since.  The clean up is easier with the RCBS as the residue isn't as hard as the One Shot.  I haven't tryed anything else as I am afraid.
