pic 1) lighting a smoke wit a 'modern' tinder box- an old D cell battery with the top taken off and inside filled wit chared mushroom to act as tinder. scrape open end of battery with stone or file any you have fire first time!better than our standard crummy matches anyway!





making rope



pick 4 - bushman 'bug out survival kit'--ie everyday needs... bow, arrows, 'possibles' bag (with poison, honey and tinder), water gourd and some reeds to make string from in his spare time.....

 What's the guy in the 1st pic doing? Appears to be lighting a smoke  ???
