I don't really pay a lot of attention to the new calibers coming out from the ammo companies. My wife says that's not all I don't pay attention to. Anyway I managed to make it to the range today and when I'm there I pick up the brass that's been left laying. Found quite a few .45 ACP and when I was sorting brass at home I found 7 hulls that said 50 GI on them. They seem to be the same length as the 45, just larger diameter. Anyone have any info on this round.

Its the answer to why a 45? Because they don't make a 46!
 Kinda cool but... the gun and the ammo
are a bit pricey! $3000ish if I remember right for the gun.
