Supplier for Lanolin

After reading about the virtues of adding Lanolin to our cast bullet mix, I decided to get some.   Most places charged a lot for a little and the shipping was often more then the product!   

Then somebody mentioned the same person who sells the felt I use to punch my own cap and ball revolver wads.  Her prices are reasonable and most importantly, she doesn't charge for shipping!   

So now I have a jar of lanolin to add to my lube, both smokeless and BP.     And plenty left over to see it it will make my skin softer and more kissable!   .

A couple other places to check are your local drug stores and also your local farm supply places , both should have it in either 1 or 5 pound cans .

Drug stores sell it for all kinds of skin issues and feed stores have it for keeping animal teets soft .

I find it cheapest on ebay. It also makes about the best case lube a guy can use. Just put some on your finger and give your cases the lightest coating of it. Some guys also mix it with isopropol alcohol and make a spray case lube. Me i find the finger method best. I just keep some on my finger and lube them as I run  them through a progressive press. The lee case lube and imperial sizeing wax are based on anhydros lanolin. Keep on thing in mind you need to find anhydrous lanolin. It doesnt contain water. the water based lanolins will dry and the lube will fall out of your bullets if you store them. Ask me how i know that!!
