N J Bear Hunt

Just heard on the News at Noon two eyewitness hunters saw a 600 pounder taken this morning here in NJ.

Heck, 600lbs ain't nothing. In Pa they just took 3 bears that weighed in @ over 800lbs during their 3 day season. A 14 year old kid shot a bear that weighed in @ 725lbs.

:-D I was glad to hear that NJ has a bear season this year despite the anti's :grin:  :grin: .Nj and Pa are close neighbors and the bear do swim the Delaware river regularly.I would not be surprised to hear of large bear taken there. :eek:

Given the limited area and the fact that developers are constantly grabbing land we could hunt on I think that  the size of N J bruins is remarkable.
