Ned 22lr 410 versa pack?
« on: October 16, 2010, 06:27:39 AM »
Hey guys,
A guy has a 22 lr and 410 Ned for sale for $145. I think it's a versa pack. Is it worth the 3 hour drive each way to get???

Any reviews? Thanks

If you want it it is. They are not being made any more. I would probably make a road trip out of it with my wife or a friend and buy it....<><....:)

Well my buddy lives out that way and is going to purchase it himself.... Then sell it to me to keep things legal. :)

So what's the deal with them? Is it a rimfire frame or SB1? I know the 22 versa barrel will work with the SB2 frames but will the 410 work on an SB2?

Also anyone know thr barrel length on the 22?

Thanks for a quick response Andy!

The versa pack has the offset bore, so it works on centerfire frames.  My assumption would be that it's on an SB1 frame, for the .410, meaning it could be fitted to other or sb2 receivers if desired. ;)  Perhaps someone else can confirm the frame as I have not had ne mysef.  ;)

Yes, it's built on a standard shotgun frame and the .22 LR barrel has an offset bore. You can add other shotgun barrels and .357 and .44 Mag barrels to the frame. I have one that I have had reamed out to .22 Mag and it's a tackdriver. If there was another within 3 hours of me for $145 I would be driving there right now to buy it. You did great and I am sure you will enjoy it....<><....:)

Except the frame has the small fireing pin, so, in some ways, it is a better SB1 frame than the shotgun frames with the large fireing pin is.  Larry
