Blond laminate stocks
« on: October 16, 2010, 09:07:30 AM »
Someone recently asked me who made the blond laminated stocks for the Handi rifle. I had no answer other that whoever it was, they are no longer making them today. Can anyone help me out with this one? I'd like to get another forend for a receiver I have two barrels fitted. Maybe knowing who made them will help my cause... :-\

Thanks, Dinny

I am not positive, but I think it was Boyds.

All laminate stocks that have come on Factory H&R rifles have been made by H&R with the exception of the thumbholes that Boyd's makes, blonde laminates, like the other special laminates like Bumble Bee, Black Jack, and others, were only made by Gardner in relatively few numbers in comparison to the millions of other stocks they made.

Tim,
Just out of curiosity, do you know when H&R offered these stocks?

Thanks, Dinny

Not sure Dinny, they may have even offered them more than one time, but I suspect it was in the mid '90s.
