No Barrels?
« on: October 19, 2010, 04:06:58 AM »
I called NEF last week to inquire about available barrels, from their accessory barrel program.
I asked what was available. Answer: "Pretty much nothing"! Are they going under?

Nope, just putting their resources toward making the most profit, they make more money on complete rifles than acc barrels. Accessory barrels aren't the great buy they used to be tho either, a standard barrel will cost about $160 after fitting, shipping both ways and tax.  :-\

And btw, there is no NEF any more, just H&R.

So if there is no NEF anymore then those guns on the new shelf are kind of old huh? They sure are not on sale. They are 300 bucks for the wood stock. I didn't know the new barrels were 160. I can get a new rifle for synthetic for 273 with tax.

They started marking all firearms Harrington and Richardson in about 2007, the only NEF product for a long time was the NEF Pardner Pump, NEF is gone now.
