Hand loading opens the field exponentially on caliber choice, and pointy bullets always carry their energy and trajectory further than flat nose bullets. If limited to factory fodder though, I'm with those who say 7-30 Waters. 30-30 might work out that far, but will not be as flat shooting as the Waters. As much practice as it will take to be proficient at that distance though, you're going to spend hundreds on factory ammo.
