Dear Sara took off her thinking cap when she autographed an American Flag.

Doesn't seem to matter a whole lot; doesn't particularly bother me.
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

Well, at least she didn't take a dump on it, or burn it.  That would have gotten praise from the left.

That is, of course a silly statement - I can't think of any liberals that would do that - but it fits with the political season, where BS/'my team' cheerleading get a pass when it should get dismissed at the BS it is.

Dang.  Not the type of "oops" moment I was hoping for.

I gotta admit that this is a pretty pathetic attempt to slam her.  Be patriot, like your country, but don't be an idiot about it.  Someone who liked an item (the flag) got a person that they liked (Palin) to autograph it.  Only someone looking to twist the situation into something it's not would see fault in this.

I was not trying to find fault but more to point out that she made an error that she can ill afford to make as people are looking for the slightest things to pick on and a lapse like that gives them ammo.

Yes, she made a mistake, as we all do from time to time.
I guess if that is the worst thing she ever does, well, I can forgive her that one mistake.
Learn from it and don't ever do it again!

Well there sure are a lot of people claiming they are liberals who are doing things like that to the flag.
Maybe they are somthing else, but they are using the handle "liberal"....does not look good for liberals I guess.

Bill Ayers the anti-capitalist terrorist stood right on top of the flag.
But maybe he is not a real liberal...maybe he's a violence-embracing Marxist anti capitalist terrorist....big difference ya know.   ;)

Let's put this into perspective at least a little bit...Palin signed the flag...not supposed to do that.  I'm sure she didn't have the same thing on her mind
as these people who claim to be liberals had on their minds when they did burn, dump on, or stand on the flag. Some people don't know how to get rid of an old flag either, but they don't have the same thing on their minds either, they just don't know.

OK, so Sarah signed a flag.  Big deal.  Yes I know how the flag is supposed to be treated, displayed, and honored.  The Air Force taught me that.  Before that I really had no idea how to treat the flag, no one had ever told or taught me.  And I would venture to say 75 to 80% of Americans don't know that.  The few that do are mostly ex-military.  Most Civilians don't have a clue.

I'm sure Sarah has been corrected and will never do that again.  I'm also sure she has looked into the issue and now knows what she can and should not do with the flag, and how it is to be displayed.  Rog

I say there was no disrespect intended and no offense should be taken.
What's more sacred the flag or the country that it represents?
Liberals have defended acts of purposeful disrespect and desecration upon the flag and, every day these same liberals work their hardest to destroy the country under which that flag flies.
This should be one oops that they might want to ignore lest it blow up in their faces.
Go Sarah

Dang skippy we burned and buried 100s of old flags every year when I was in the Scouts.

Judging from the picture Shootall posted I don't think Sarah was ever in the Boy Scouts.  She did not mean it as a sign of disrespect and should not be viewed as such.  Unlike refusing to salute the flag during the presentation of colors or the pledge of allegiance like some some scum bag I can think of who's name I shall not mention.

Sarah Palin would never intentionally do anything to disrespect the flag.  Like Hooker said there was no disrespect intended.  Either Sarah was not paying attention and thinking of hundreds of other things when she did this, or she was just not aware of the implications of what she was doing.

Eyeshot:  Not everyone was in the Boy Scouts.  I never heard of the Boy Scouts till I met some city boys after I left home.  Many rural areas of this country have never seen a Boy Scout uniform, let alone had a group of them.

That flag that Sarrah signed is now worth a pretty penny.  Hey, she can sign my flag anytime she wants--or anything else she wants to write on.  Hhhmmm, I wonder if she's into signing guns.

Yes, she would sign your gun.  The problem would be getting it past her security, and Todd.  Suggest you break it down and only take the stock.
