What propaganda is that, Beerbelly? Spell it out...
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

yellowtail is sarcastically contentious by nature, at least on the Internet, where it is safe to be sarcastically contentious by nature. In person, I would suspect he is more polite, but he is still a brat in need of a spanking. If he were to behave in public the way he does here, I suspect he would have already gotten that spanking, but I doubt he does.
I won't discuss with him anything, or address him anymore, as I believe him to be not only a liberal, but as I said also, sarcastically contentious, and will take the advise of Proverbs Chapter 26 verse 21. I will not ignore him, but will instead, not acknowledge his presence.

I ask a simple, fair question of beerbelly - nothing incendiary, just engaging the man - and Dee pops off:

yellowtail is sarcastically contentious by nature, at least on the Internet, where it is safe to be sarcastically contentious by nature.
Yeah, there are all kinds of internet tough guys out there. But what you call sarcastically contentious by nature is really just hearing outside your comfortable echo-chamber. Such nastiness, from a simple, honest question directed at someone other than you. Shame on you.

Quote
In person, I would suspect he is more polite...
Almost always - and here, too. I've not been impolite to you; if I had been, I'd apologize. If I sank to the level of some here, I'd prob get booted from the board.

Quote
..but he is still a brat in need of a spanking.
A brat? Lemme guess, junior - you're just the kind of guy to administer the spanking?

Quote
I won't discuss with him anything, or address him anymore, as I believe him to be not only a liberal..

Now there's a way to communicate. That's not very nice, let alone Christ-like. Aren't you the guy who quote scripture now and agan? I think you've just helped to define a know-nothing ideologue, fearful of the world outside his narrow vision, unwilling to see past his own prejudices.

What would Jesus do, here? Was he nasty towards the people his denser disciples called liberals?

Quote
I will not ignore him, but will instead, not acknowledge his presence.

TRANSLATION: "I'll pontificate, but I won't actually discuss anything!"

Fact is Juan didn't speak any truth, doesn't intend to speak any truth, wouldn't know the Truth if it bit him in the arse,

tm. As usual, WRONG. He told how he truly felt, nothing wrong with that. We went to an park a few years ago watching mostly birds from a glassed in room. A couple rags came in wearing backpacks, I became nervous. Then I calmed down when I realized there were no babies there to slaughter, I knew I was ok then.
yellow. Beerbelly made a simple statement, and rightly so. read your own childish posts. I doubt you can goad DEE into an arguement, but that is your goal, has been since you came here. Have a good day. POWDERMAN.  ::) ::)

The heads of NPR are the brightest bunch are they? They could have let him go nice and quiet, of course he has talent so he's going to make money anyway someplace no matter what, but these dolts at NPR gave him a very nice boost while at the same time gave themselves nothing. Gave Fox a nice boost as well...how dumb are these people at NPR?

No wonder NPR needs our money. That about sizes it up for everything the left runs.

$2mil contracts from Fox don't appear out of thin air. Juan has clearly been working on a deal to move to Fox for big money. Likely they were engaged with his management/ agent to broker a deal. NPR found out and came up with a reason to fire him.

Same as if your boss finds your resume on the copier he ain't gonna be happy.

I was thinking about this the other night during the Fox News.  What if Bill O'Riely had have been fired by Fox for the same thing?  Would Jaun Williams have had Bill on NPR and defended him.  Would NPR rushed to offer Bill O a 2 million doller cntract?  Would Jaun Williams turned over his show to Bill O so he could tell his story?  Yes, he would have done all these things for Bill O.  That is right after everyone in Hell went ice skating.  A Liberal would never save a conservative voice never.

Fact is NPR is a drain on public funds (tax dollars) and anytime someone stops getting paid is it a bad thing ?
Trying to defend anyone who makes a living trying to guess public opinion and cater to it is a losing battle. These guys say what they believe will put money in their pocket. When one works for free with out any support from any where maybe he is sincere . I admit the truth slips out from time to time but only for a profit .

I think we should cut out welfare except for those unable to work due to a disability, mentally retarded, say less than about 65 IQ, and elderly.  Cut our child welfare for over two kids and pay to have the mothers fixed.  Also, if you get any government aid, must pass a manditory drug test, at least quarterly.  Cut out foreign aid.  Eliminate all income taxes, and tax imports, and have a national sales tax on all purchases.  Cut out money for the "arts".

Cut out social security for all under 40, make them pay into IRA's or 401(k)'s.  Set this up like life insurance for the first few years for early death or disability, then it switches to an IRA later.

Get the government out of the health care business.  Allow insurance companies to compete across state lines.  Limit lawsuits.  Require people to buy at least a hospitalization insurance minimum.

This should make the Feds more streamlined and less intrusive.  Go back to commodities instead of food stamps.

Have a picture ID required for voting.  Must be current, and must match your address on your voting record.  In Alabama, you can get a non drivers ID at the Drivers License office.  Have voting records purged nationwide every 10 years to match the census.  Must reapply to vote every 10 years, or at least every time you renew your drivers liscense.

Call out the national guard nationwide and round up the illegals, put them on busses, trains, etc, back to where they come from.  To be positive, add more personnel to the immigration department at the borders, to help with legal immigration.  Make it nationwide manditory that no illegals can vote, and no non-citizens can vote.  Must pass a high school equivelent citizenship test before you can register to vote for all including natrual born Americans.

You should try Sirius LEFT, I think that would be right up your alley. Better get it soon as from what I understand they are going to ax it as it has virtually no ratings.

How come they need to take money from people through taxes if they are the best? Why did Congress pass a law for them? What deal was made when Congress helped them out with tax money? There is always a deal...somewhere. Always.  It would be more fair if all the news stations took tax money so everyone could feel the same type of violation.

Why is it that when the left runs anything they have to help themselves to our capitialist money to make it work? How ironic that is. So I am forced to pay
for the same thing Soros gives to. That ain't right no matter how you cut it.  That's what makes most Americans mad, the left seem to act like they are above everything. Most of us are getting damn tired of paying for what the left thinks we need to, and them not paying for anything they don't agree with.
So now I own a couple car companies, a news station, a few banks, and I am paying more taxes than ever before in my life in all area's, and have nothing to show for what the left makes me buy. And Fannie and Freddie still need more money and will get it, and I never borrowed a thing from them either. The fact that I even now own all this stuff and have nothing to show for it proves the left could not run a lemonade stand and keep from spending more than they take in.

I wish they would stop making me a partner in their stupid business transactions.

(shrug) I don't know; but still, it's the best news & analysis I've heard, best current events shows, best interviews. I'd be glad to go elsewhere for like programming.

the questions stands, & addressed to all critical of NPR - have you listened to them, and gained first-hand?

Yes, and I have actually enjoyed some good programs at certain times, morning times is sometimes real good. If they have something that turns me off, I turn them off, no problem there.

I do not understand how, or why they get my tax money.  I'm not sure I want to know. It can't be good.  Never is. And it's not right, or fair to any other news organizations, and it's not fair to tax payers. That is my only beef. But it's a good one I think.

Is that right? What was the program, and what was the... liberal parasite blather you heard? Maybe Terry Gross interviewing Paul McCartney?

Here's a good example of interesting stuff from NPR you just don't hear on other radio stations. Very interesting, about fifteen minutes in. I listened to it the other night on the way home after shooting a spike buck...

Garrison Keeler in about the only name I remember. I didn't make it a habit to listen to that garbage. Like I said, it is of such poor quality that it would fail if they did not steal money from people to keep it on the air.

well, give  a listen to the link I sent. It's an excellent story about the Sunni Awakening - former SUnni insurgents, many of whom were former Iraqi military, and how the US partnered with them to drive out Al Queda. Excellent & interesting reporting.

(by the way, I enjoyed the interview with Sir Paul)

One again, poor quality garbage that needs to steal from the taxpayer to keep solvent. I suppose being a liberal is like being insane, "if you are you don't know you are". Old yellow are you trying to play second fiddle to old TM at the BBQ? If so just let me know and I'll see what I can work out for you. Maybe you can ride his coat tails to fame. Do you have a catch phrase like his " the Jews did it"?
