A new (unexpected) journalist hero..
« on: October 22, 2010, 01:27:42 AM »
  Juan Williams of Fox News..until yesterday, more than 10 years at NPR (National Public Radio). I have not been in agreement with Juan on many issues, but have recognized him as a sincere (as opposed to a phony) liberal.
   Along comes a huge bully..George Soros..hates Fox News..    Soros gives NPR nearly $2,000,000 last week (with promises?) and yesterday..Juan was fired on the flimsiest circumstances. Fired for being truthful..that's a tough charge leveled against a journalist.. :D :P
  George Soros is a multi billionaire, bent on 'remaking' the world into his preferred image and non-progressives are his biggest stumbling block.
     According to this article, He wants to elevate each of the former Soviet Union entities and crush the west financially. He figures he could best launch his view of the world in old eastern Europe/western Asia. His "Open Society" view is exactly what most traditional Americans would see as a degenerate (Fabian Socialist) society .but it fits in well with the 'progressives' ideals.

  Curiously, when BHO asked the wealthy "how much is too much?", he obviously wasn't referring to his old Chicago friend & compadre, Geo Soros.

  Here's one of Soros' investments..Petrobras;

  Soros' efforts to undermine the west would be greatly helped if he could keep us from being "energy independant" , close down as many jobs as possible here in the US ..and make many million$$$ in the process.
   So, let's get the deep water oil rigs out of our waters (46,000 jobs) and take them to another country..keep our energy money going abroad....
   .. But rich and powerful as he is ..Soros needed help;

While Juan gets allegedly fired from NPR...that same day he picks up a FOXy News contract for $2 million/year.! Obiviously, pre-planned.
  or, just spitballing here....maybe they decided to scoop him up before someone else did.   say what you want about fox; compared to other networks, they give more than one view on a subject.   i know you wont agree, but one thing you cannot argue is their ratings.

Juan is just as much of a left wing socialist as he has always been and no hero of mine! But watching what NPR will do for $2,000,000 is very entertaining.

  I also tend to think the term "hero" is over used and often misapplied. But since the term is so often applied to baseball players, football players, golfers and stock car racers..Juan is entitled to it as much as they.
   He is a genuine liberal..perhaps not in the 'B. Hussein Obama, one world Marxist govt.' sense..but still a liberal.

   TM:
         As far as Fox scooping up Williams as a "planned event"...do you HONESTLY believe that NPR and George Soros hatched the plan along with Fox News ? Would they proceed with these plans even though they knew it would bring unfavorable publicity upon them, while giving Fox 2-3 super days and exposure? ::)

NPR/PBS really stepped in it this time. A lot of liberals will symphasize with Williams, and conservatives hate NPR and are looking for a chance to clobber them. I would say their days of getting your and my tax money is coming to an end.

I feel bad for Mr. Williams.  I almost always disagree with his views, but this was unjust in every way.  I hope we can defund NPR, and do it quickly.  It is truly a waste of money.

People need to pay attention to Soros and what he's doing in terms of his influence with media and the U.S. dollar.  This guy is bad news.

Something interesting here is that someone on the left finally suggested that a black man is a racist.

Fox news now has not only conservatives, republicans, and independents, they now just gained a whole bunch of democrats and liberals as well, this is just plain funny. Williams is doing O'reilly tonight at just the right time, nothing shabby about fox news managment, they now have the largest veiwing audience around by getting the left to tune in.  Pretty smart, and I think they call it capitialism, they supply something the people want.  Watch the fox ratings now. Dems and libs moving to fox news bcause their own far left news stations are a discrace and they want to hear what Juan says.  Well, they are tuning in to Juan tonight you can be sure, I've been watching, he is saying plenty about the people he worked for. Hey, maybe next Fox will get Michael Moore a spot and bring in his whole crowd too.   ;D   Makes you wonder how the people at NPR can be so stupid when it comes to running a business and public relations.  OH...forgot, NPR is not really capitialism...it gets grants for our tax money to survive. Guess that explains a lot.

Time for a shot of rum, I'll sit back and enjoy this for awhile, this is going to get good.

I thought Juan might have overplayed his hand a little on the Factor last night.  His performance seemed a little forced to me.  Anyway, he isn't likely to replace O'Reilly except on occasion.

What blows my mind is how much these talking heads can command.  But I guess that's show biz and more power to them.

   No surprise there subjoe;
            Using black discontent is a handy tool for 'progressives' to advance their aims to put the world into slavery, but given the chance to choose between "black" or "progressiveism"...black goes under the bus..

       ...After all, it may be news to some black people, but progressives have no problem with slavery..that is their design for most of us.

I'm used to the left/progressives/term of the month call Blacks who don't fit the stereotype of a perpetual victim being called Uncle Toms, Oreos, House N****rs, race traitors, etc.  But so far the left has not bestowed the honour of "racist" on Blacks.

  TM says;
   In any case, if I was writing the script for this soapy theater I would now have Juan emerging as a born again conservative with a new skin...thanx to the guidance of FOXY of course...
\

  TM;
  Let's figure this out... More likely Mr Ailes may have been considering giving Juan more air time..just because Fox needs liberals to maintain their "fair & balanced" slogan, something the alphabet networks don't even concern themselves with. Yes, Fox has Shawn Hannity but you will notice when Hannity has a panel discussion..he tries to line up equal numbers of libs and conservatives, after all, that is the secret of Fox News' great popularity.
   Bill Mahr will often beside himself, line up 3-4 liberals to contest with one, lone conservative. Even the infamous program called "The View" normally has 3-4 libby women arraigned against the single conservative (incidently the only good looking one of the bunch).
     As for Mr Williams becoming less liberal, I seriously doubt that is what Roger Ailes really wants, since "fair & balanced" is what makes Fox the overwhelmingly popular news network.
  There is the old saying.." A conservative is often just a liberal who has been mugged"!  It is highly likely Williams by now, realizes just how badly he has been "mugged" by the progressives at NPR, in spite of his being black.
   I would not be surprised if his politics did go through a "period of adjustment".. :D

ironglow is half right, on that old saying - to get the full picture, we need the whole thing:

Quote
A conservative is sometimes a liberal who got mugged; conversely, a liberal is sometimes a conservative who got arrested.
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

Well what I don't get is why NPR has to get money out of my pocket and I don't listen to them. That would be like Fox news getting money out of the pockets of people who don't care for them.

How come it has to be that way?

Far as why Juan got fired from NPR, the heads of that outfit said exactly why he was fired, anyone who says he got fired for somthing else is just spreading rumors as far as I'm concerned.

TM says;
   "Ailes and Murdoch over at FOXy Global media control need useful snakes like Juan, seeing as he is predictably controllable..."

  TM;
  The humorus thing here is that the "Progressives" over at NPR...THOUGHT he was predictably controllable, and would toe the PC line, no matter how dishonest it is ! Juan now knows that when it comes to a choice between PC and BLACK...black gets flushed.
  As Jimster said..Why should we pay for NPR to praise progressiveism? Anyone who doesn't like Fox, doesn't have to watch...and they are not forced to contribute a penny to Fox!
    Perhaps you did not see the interview between O'Reilly and Williams which started this bruhaha. Even the news doesn't get it right;
 he said when people in Muslim garb get aboard a plane, obviously referring to themselves a PRIMARILY Muslim..he gets uneasy..(paraphrased).
  Juan debated strongly against several other negative points O'Reilly suggested concerning Muslims, defending them openly...but like all  Ishmaelites sold out on the radical edges,...anything or anybody who does not give 100% credence to all things Islam..that person is the ENEMY..
     Sorry..as I see it, only one totally perfect man ever walked the face of this earth! All others are flawed to a greater or lesser degree; and those who run around intentionally blowing innocent children up.. are very flawed indeed.
