New stock on my Encore<<pics added>>
« on: October 24, 2010, 04:46:52 PM »
Hello everyone,
I just wanted to brag about the new stock I got on my Encore. It is a green mountain camo laminated stock with aluminum pillars in the forend. Tony had me measure my arm, hand and fingers to get a perfect fitted feel to it. I really think the pillars help accuracy too, especially on my thin barrel. I am able to draw Mickey Mouse with three shots at 50yds, 3/4" at 100yds, and 1 1/2"-2" at 150yds. My Bushnell Trophy with the DOA 600 reticle really makes holdover a no-brainer at 150yds with one of the dot-crosshairs aligning perfectly.

All this and it's got a MGM lightweight 20" .357 Max barrel.

Thanks, Dinny

I went to his web site.  And the idea sounds good.  But he did not post a single picture as to how he pillared the forearm.  Do you have a picture of yours??  And did it take a longer screw??  Any barrel pressure at all between the barrel and the stock??  Tom.

This is my first Encore rifle and therefore I am not expert. Tony usually answers emails daily, I would try contacting him for the facts. I will post a pic a little later this evening.

Thanks, Dinny
