Do TC ramrods work with tipped bullets?
« on: October 25, 2010, 08:36:40 AM »
I just ordered an Impact, and while Im waiting for it to come, I picked up a box of TC Shockwave Bonded sabots.  I havnt bought an inline in years, so I was wondering, do the romrods now come with a concave tip to prevent crushing pointed bullets?
I've got to many but never enough!!!!

I don't know about the Impact, but if you find a jag that fits onto the threaded end of a TC ramrod, AND also fits thru the under barrel mounts that hold the ramrod. AND has a concave bevel for the ballistic tip bullets....I would really like to know.  I have been looking for one for sometime but so far each appropriate beveled jag is too big to fit the under barrel mounting bracket/tubes of my rifle.

I put my impact rod in the opposite way it is supposed to be and attached a jag for tipped bullets.  It stsick out about an inch past the barrel, but works well. Actually the rod is concve on the loading ens, and also has a small hole drilled to fit a tipped bullet.  You will be ok with it.

I put an adapter on my bullet starter & don't remember if my Knight ramrod needed one or not. Either ways it's an easy fix to avoid smashing the tip while loading.
