I heard it's really militant Norwegians, hot-headed nordic fundamentalists

If you consider why anyone would do such a thing if true it is not good. Other than to scope out the reaction in an effort to plant other bombs to destory targets after there is a reaction to the first is of little use. This could be a warning that needs to be addressed if so.
Then it could be just to scare folks . But how would you know.

Somebody has been shooting at Marine installations..  The Marines have plenty of experienced snipers who have returned from the sandbox..I know a couple of them. If I were the Commander-in-Chief..I would place a Marine sniper in a strategic area with his choice of weapons and reward him with a month leave and a stripe if he cures the problem/s.
I would set up 3-4 'decoy' sniper hides and one 'live' one..  It would be a great "morale booster" for our troops to see such a sneaky  coward.."kiss the bullet".. !

Rules of engagement are different in the US. For instance, the Marines generally are not allowed to carry weapons on US soil unless they are on internal security. I would guess that none of the Marine recruiters were packing. Want to know why, ask the last 20 Presidents.

OBL is still quite active it appears.

The present CiC is very busy flying around trying to save Democrat lives.

Actually that makes me happy :)

Uhhh..(IMO) Having guards defend the museum at Quantico is an internal security question...

Sounds different from the Army..we carried weapons to the range and on FTX's...or our own personal weapons when hunting on the reservation...
Simple fact is, my grandson, being a Marine armorer, is cycling some 16,000 M-16 variants plus other individual and crew served weapons as his daily task, as well as bringing his personal guns onto the reservation for recreational purposes.

BTW: As far as "rules of engagement" in the US there should be no "engagement" with US Civilians...unconstitutional, you know...
Clinton's bloody fiasco at Waco notwithstanding...
Surely, if C-in-C Clinton could snuff nearly a hundred American men, women & children without repercussions, surely C-in-C B Hussein could take out one terrorist without a whimper !

Rather makes on ponder...if it had been Reagan or Bush who destroyed those American lives at Waco..would the major media been as coperative and dutifully stay a miole or two away from the action ?

Just like satan, the godless ones are alive and well. Just a matter of time til we are hit again. The godless ones live among us, and so do those who support them and make excuses for them, even on this board.  POWDERMAN.  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

wouldn't it be considered a police matter ? not a military matter ? If so maybe a marine would take a leave of absentce for a job with the police in MA, VA. and Dc.  ;)  Then every thing could be PC BS ! >:(

SHOOTALL,

The difference between military "jurisdiction" and a law enforcement issue, IMO, is whether or not these individuals knowingly carried these weapons onto American soil.   That fact makes it an act of war.  My only question is, does the 13th Imam (Caliph Obama) have the balls to protect the interests of the US?   As it stands, he is giving aid and comfort to our enemies with this policy of appeasement and "reaching out" to the Muslim world.
