   Not trying to get Sarah elected; as I said ..she's doing a great job just where she's at.
  I don't know how many "enemies" she has, but it is becoming more and more obvious that there are many women and some girlie-men who are very jealous of her.

They were getting ready to pin alot of stuff on her, which likely would have ended her politcal career right there.  She acts like a populist...but her policies, once you can discern what they are, are really elitist.

Do you think that if the press had the goods on Sarah they would not have already spilled the beans? I was not very happy that she quit mid term however she did have her hands tied by the never ending complaints. I also think that her family was 100% behind her decision to step aside. Long term it looks like she made a good decision. We still have a Republican governor in AK. and she has done pretty well for herself.

I've heard this over and over by the Sarah apologists around here.  The question is this:  Lets pretend she plans on running for president (no huge stretch).  Lets also pretend that her "enemies" in Alaska will be multiplied hundreds of times over if she goes from relative unknown in little-followed state to the most powerful elected official in the world (also no huge stretch).  What is she going to do about them as president that she couldn't do as governor? 

I sure as hell don't want my president getting on TV and saying, "I'm sorry, but I have to quit.  You see these mean people keep being mean to me.  It hurts this ridiculous 'mama grizzly' thing I'm working on.  Please understand that I'm quitting to help you all and I am in no way quitting.  I realize that doesn't sound possible, or even logical but [insert meaningless cliche here to divert simple minds], [smile].  Please repeat this statement as necessary until all of you have it."

My thoughts:

1) The Alaskan governor doesn't get paid that much.  So, Sarah makes much more on speaches, TV comentaries, etc. 
2) She did have numerous lawsuits to address, all cleared of course, but that did cost her $500,000 in legal fees, and she needed money. 
3) She did more good helping Tea Party members campaign.  She attracts big crowds whereever she goes.  She has time to polish her speachmaking, getting caught up on current events and the workings of Washington in order to make a run in 2012.

   I don't know about you, but in my life of work I have also quit jobs when I could improve things for myself or my family. Have you never quit a job ? I assume you do work..but hope you are not one of those unfortunates who hang onto a job  they cannot stand..afraid to make a change..That would be a girlie-man...

One of the men "Sarah the Grizzly Hearted" promoted, and got re-elected was a Liberal-Socialist RINO, with a 30+ year track record of voting to prove it. i.e. McCain. SHE HELPED HIM TO GET RE-ELECTED FOLKS, IN CASE YOU MISSED THAT PART.
The others have not even taken office yet, so I believe the cart is at the present, IN FRONT OF THE HORSE.
My wait and see attitude prevails, the double standard support of candidates, practiced by "Sarah the Grizzly Hearted" continues to go unexplained, and unjustified, in comparison to her raved reviews, by folks whom SAY their tired of the "same ole, same ole" but are still supporting it.
Favoritism and deal making is what is wrong in D.C., and "Sarah the Grizzly Hearted" did this very thing, by supporting McCain, and blasting others just like McCain. YET! Folks here, and else where, see what they want to see, hear what they want to hear, and ignore what they say their tired of, AND MAKE EXCUSES FOR FLAWED LOGIC, WHICH IS ILLOGICAL IN THE FIRST PLACE. Go figure.

  As far as Sarah supporting McCain...compared to the messiah/king Obammy, McCain was worth backing..just to avoid what we have had for the last two years. Statistically, those voters who didn't support McCain, helped to elect Obama..after all,we only had a choice of two !

I admit I have had some of the same misgivings as Dee about Palin when she supported McRino. But she sure looks alot more conservative than establishment Republicans to me. She has been going toe to toe with them, both in the past in Alaska and nationally with the Tea Party. I like her and her family just as people even though Bristol is kind of goofy sometimes. But what the heck. She's just a kid. I even posted on here once that I was going to peal the bumper sticker off my truck when we were talking about her supporting McRino in Az. McRino aside, I don't have a problem with her and think she is fun to watch.

I don't have a problem with her over the Presidential/Vice Presidential campaign. It was afterwards when she stumped for McRino in Arizona. If she knocks that stuff off from now on, I won't have a problem with her. I also question her choice to endorse Scott Brown in Mass.. But he was the only viable choice there and better, maybe, than the Dem. And it was nice to fill Teddy's old seat with a Rep. Even if in name only.

This is the problem that some like me and Dee have with Sarah. I like her and just hope she doesn't do it again. If she does, I will be in the same camp with Dee. Only less angry and more disapointed.

TM7 that is a low blow about Bristol getting pg calling her mother a hypocrite.  I am a conservative born again evangelical Christian.  I have 4 daughters, one got pg in high school, she had the baby as we didn't believe in abortion.  I raised them right, they knew better.  Bristol is a complete seperate individual with her own morals and values, no matter how she was raised.  It happens to the best of us.  Mine wanted to get married at 17, we said no, finish high school and get some higher education first.  She got pg to get married.  We signed for her to get married.  Her supporting McCain is the only thing I have against her.  Everything else I agree with.

TM is a hypocrit himself if he says he is a Christian, yet doesn't adhere to Christian principles such as abstinance before marriage or at least teach them if you can't afford a baby on your own don't have sex until you can.  He don't get if the Christian principles are taught, sure they may be idealistic, but at least most people will try to attain and adhere to these principles.  At least Christians don't stone to death, hang or cut peoples heads off for a sin.  Shunning is taught in Christianity to make people ashamed of their sins, and thereby cause them to realise they are sinners in need of a Savior.
