Handi-grip bolt size
« on: November 01, 2010, 07:37:13 PM »
What is the official description of the Handi-grip bolt size? I have a hex wrench that can fit into the socket head about  1 / 16 th of an inch, not 1/8 inch or 5/32 inch, the depth of the socket, and it goes in very snug. I have to use it though because it is the ONLY wrench that will fit at all. I've used all of my metric and SAE sizes and even some oddballs that measure odd dimensions with no luck.    Ken

Mine takes a 7/32" hex wrench.

There may be a rough edge or burr on your Allen hex wrench that is keeping it from going all the way into the socket. There is a very slight taper in some. You might try using a stone or grinder to smooth the leading edges on all six sides of your wrench and see if that helps.
