New pardner
« on: November 03, 2010, 11:45:05 AM »
I just purchased a new Ilion made Pardner in 28 gauge. The action is very stiff, making it hard to open the gun. Has anyone had this experience? Any suggestions on how to smooth it up?

I find most of the time the forend is fitted too tight.  I usually take the spacer off and sand the flat side flat on the table until it opens easier.

I sanded the forend spacer and the gun is not as tight as it was. Fired it for function and it worked well.  However, the gun feels klunky and heavy. I much prefer the old Toppers.
