Thinking of a 20 gauge

Long story short, I stoped in my local gun store and they had a model 175(?) twenty gauge. It said 3inch mag "long range hunter". It's used but in good condition. They had it for $179, I know it seems a little high for a used model but I would rather support local stores than a big chain. Question is this, is this a normal model or something special? I tried search to no avail, I'm thinking it's just the name for their longer barrel versions. If I get it I will use it this season for whitetail. I know there is but anyone here take whitetail or even hogs with a twenty gauge single shot? I had a twenty gauge pardner many years ago but never hunted with it, now I regret selling it. Just something about being in the woods with a old single shot shotgun! Thanks all.

"Extended range" was the name of it. I think I found info on it and I will more than likely pick it up. What do ya'll think of the price?

You can get a new pardner for around $125 I think.  Used ones typically sale for $75-80 in very good condition.  I'm looking to pick another one up and have the barrel shortened and threaded for a choke.

Used 20's go for around $75 to $100 around here and Wally World sells them new for around $120.

Wow, better off buying a new one. Come to think of it the twenty I used to have cost around $80 used.

Plus if you get a newer one (made after 1987) you'll have the option of getting a factory .357 Mag or .44 Mag barrel fitted to it.
