For about the last week ive been doing daily load work on my 4570 lever and my 50ak. I consider myself about recoil proof but this is wearing on me. Ive been shooting 500 grain bullets out of the ak with 65 grains of benchmark and im hear to tell you it KICKS! the marlin is a custom gun dave clements made for me on a marlin cowboy wiht a barrel cut to 18 inch and its at least a lb lighter then my guide gun. I was shooting 500 grain lfns ahead of 53 grains of ramshot tac and in that light gun it gives the ak a run for its money in recoil. I hope to get this punishment rapped up today. Dont get me wrong even with big loads there fun to shoot but after about 10 rounds the fun goes away and it becomes work. Funny thing was yesterday i had my 700 300 win mag along and it was like shooting a 22 after taking the pounding from those lever guns.
