It's been really bad down there for long time.
Last year the company I work for pulled our employees out of there.
Our guys endured daily shake downs and extortion by both police and military.
They said they feared the them and the disorganized street thugs more than the large gangs a cartels.
It's been over ten years since my little bride and I vacationed in Mexico I told her to get all of it she wanted we would not be coming back.

The Mexicans I work with are pretty grim about what's going on down there. One was robbed, his truck stolen, and held for ransom. He later found his truck in the news, with lots of bullet holes and blood. I don't think he wants it back.

I have lived in Texas for all of my 61 years. I grew up here, worked 20+ years in L.E. here, and raised a family here. I ain't givein it back to the Mexicans voluntarily. I have often pondered why the U.S. government sent my son and his combat team in the 82nd Air Borne to protect first the Afghans, and then twice to Iraq, to protect some of the sorriest excuses for human beings in the world, when they could be better put to use on the Mexican Border.
In my heart, I truly believe that there isn't a Mexican drug cartel in existence that could stand up to the 82nd Air Borne were it unleashed, and allowed to win. But then again, I feel the same about the U.S. Marines, and most other special ops of the U. S. military. How sad, that such a thing is allowed when we have the means to eradicate something that needs eradicating.
You may all go to hell, I will go to Texas. Davy Crockett
