I saw that. I emailed them asking for first three digits of the serial number. I wanted to see when it was made  ;D . I got an answer back with a phone number saying to call it for more info. I did and got an answering machine... looks like I will be getting the old run around ::)

He says it's worth $1,500, so it's a real bargain at only $800.

It must have a night vision scope attached to it.

It may have an expensive scope on it, but you'd think he would have mentioned that if he really wanted to sell it, that along with a pic would sure help.   ::)

I wonder if the seller has ever looked at the security verification and seen he has not ever made a sale on this site? I guessing he hasn't
made the connection.

Honestly, he must have been looking at our classified section and noticed the high value a used 357 barrel carries here! We have only ourselves to
blame!

I've got about 11 or 12 of them I'd sacrifice for 650 ;D ;D----well, maybe ony 9 or ten.  I'd still hang on to my .38-55 and the shortie Maxi......well, probably keep  the .45-70 and the.....and the....and the...etc. etc. ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)  Such is the sickness.

I sent him a question on why he thought his rifle was worth so much more than buying one brand new for $230.  I even added in $20 for rings and $130 for a scope so we would be looking at $380.

No reply, but I see the Additional Information tab has the following: "i have a 357 gun for sale its fully dressed you can change the barrell on it im asking 500 dollars for it thank you no low ballers please thank you i kno wat the guns worth"

« Reply #23 on: November 09, 2010, 01:53:29 PM »
Stop the presses, this just in!!!!!!!!!!!

He just called me, musta got my number from GA. He said he paid $800 for the rifle and his brother had it out in the woods right now using it to deer hunt.  No serial number available...

 :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

I fully explained to him the rifle's value and even quoted prices directly from the Budsgunshop website.   He didn't seem all that happy that he got taken for a ride...   :o :o :o ::)

Did you ask him what parts are gold plated? Is there anything special about it? Did you tell him to come to the site and get a better idea about his gun?

I did ask about the gold-plating, he had no reply. Nothing special as far as I could tell. He did say that it's worth $1000. ;)

Maybe it is worth $1000: to him.

Those are the key words right there. He seemed to just want his money back out of it.  I wished him luck after I told him I wasn't interested unless he wanted to drop his price below $200.  No such luck...

Thanks, Dinny

I talked to him yesterday and asked for the serial number, he was suppose to send it to me in an email today, so far I haven't heard anything. he didn't sound too hip when it came to Handi-Rifles from what I could gather in our conversation.
