Update on Tracker II replacement barrel

Well its been some time since my project started and thought I would catch you up in building my custom 12g slug gun. The first barrel I sent back and they replaced it with a new one because of the scope rail misaligned. The second one came back months later to have the same issue just not as bad. I thought I would try it to see if the scope had enough adjustment. It didnt. Then the empties would not eject and then the gun started to misfire. I decided to fix it myself. I surface ground the rail straight, it took .020 to zero to bring it in. I polished to breech, cleaned up the edjector and installed a heavier die spring. I ground .030 off the top face of the hammer to make the firing pin enter deeper.
Well the gun is complete and shoots very well but the misfire came back after approx 12 rounds. I compaired the hammer pull to my 20 and 410 and it feels light. I plan to pull it apart and start on the hammer project now. I will upload pics soon but our deer season is next week and I am running out of time.

Replace the hammer spring with a Wolff extra power single coil spring, it's all I use, Midway sells them too.

I ordered the XP spring.
I tore the receiver down after work. I cut a coil out of the firing pin return spring and compressed it slightly.
I cleaned up the pin/hammer fit. It was not bad. I unwound the hammer torsion spring a 1/4 inch and reassembled with the pins in up to the splines for testing purposes. The firing pin is hitting much harder but I would like it deeper. I am shooting Rem Core lokt Ultras and they appear to be brass primers. I may unwind the torsion spring another 1/4 inch for now until the new spring comes in. My goal is to prove out the accuracy before the 15th opener.
