New deer getter

Finally got my stock set finished and put together.
High Plains Gunstock with Limbsaver recoil pad on my Contender frame with a 23inch bull 30-30 barrel with a Swift 4X12X44 scope.

It was a lot of work involved in finishing the semi finished stock and the grind to fit recoil pad. Be headed to the range in a few days to see how it shoots.

Very sweet!  With all these pretty Contenders getting showed off, I'm glad I'm finally picking one up!  But with all these sweet 30-30 rigs, I'm wondering if I'm making the right choice to try and trade the 30-30 for a .223...   :'(
