I'm tossing the same problem around myself. I have three BC Carbine stocks; a .45LC, a .357 Max and a .38-55. I like a sling to free up your hands when you need it. I'm thinking seriously about putting primitive slings on all of them. They lace around the buttstock and the barrel without putting holes in the wood, The primitive sling caused sighting problems with open sighted muzzleloaders by getting in the line of sight. Not a problem now, because these are all scoped, and the leather is well below the objective lens. Just a thought.
