In general I've had very few complaints about moderation - particularly none about it being heavy handed in any way. However, many are forgetting that this is a family friendly place, where women and young folks should be encouraged to hang out. There are stickys above that make it very plain - at least I think so - what the standard of language should be on this forum. I could care less about your political or ideological persuasion, or if you have a no kidding beef with someone else. We've got an ignore feature and PM capability.
So we can do this the easy way, or the hard way. The easy way is to act like gentlemen, and think before you post. The hard way is this forum gets no fun because I keep deleting threads until you complain to Matt or GB and I am fired as a moderator. Either way works for me. I personally like this forum, which is why I volunteered ... like all other moderators here, unpaid ... to help keep it the way GB intended. My kids like GBO too, btw, and that's sort of the point to outdoors enthusiasts, or ought to be: to raise up the next generation to keep the heritage and pass it on. So do your part for the greater good and maybe think 3 times before hitting post.
