Following complaints by NJ Democratic politicians The Obama "Justice" Dept investigates NJ cost cutting gov Chris Christie. Christie worked for some years as a US attorney, travelling the world. The Hofer justice Dept has left no stone unturned, they found that in some 23 trips..comparing the rooms he occupied with the cheapest available, he spent $2,176 more than they figure he should have and demand that much be repaid along with car (livery) services of $800 over the same years. Christie's aide at the time said hotels offer a special rate for "government", but if those rooms are taken, the regular rate goes.

We may find it interesting that Hofer will pursue a debatable $2,100 lodging bill, but cannot find time to prosecute those who grossly violate other's civil rights. He seems more concerned with a former federal attorney's travel than with clear cut Constitutional questions.
Can anyone explain why his office deserves to be called a "Justice" Dept ?
