445 Reamer

I currently have a 357 Max Handi that I reamed, no problem!  Easy as can be.  I will likely be having a 44mag barrel fitted to my receiver sometime after the first of the year, of which I plan on reaming out to 445 SuperMag.  I was disappointed in the dimesions of the 357 max reamer as it has a cone shaped throat, which doesn't guide or support the base bullet on the way to the rifling.  My gun will only shoot long bullets, 180xtp's and 200gr RN bullets accurately.

My question, does the standard 445 reamer have the same cone shape throat or has someone here had a custom reamer ground that has an appropriate throat?  I'm either looking to rent one with appropriate dimensions or have one custom ground.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Call the reamer company and ask them, IIRC, the 445SM reamer I rented from 4D was a rifle reamer and I think it put a decent throat in Pete's 445SM barrel, maybe Pete can check it and let ya know for sure cuz I don't remember for sure!  I do know it shoots good and he loves it tho.

Is the reamer easier to get than the brass?

I've had .445 ammo on order with Reeds since last Summer and "backordered" brass from Midway for more than a month.  Some day, perhaps even before I go blind and senile, I'll get some.

Thanks to Tim, the .445 is a shooter.  The .44 mag barrel is an old overbore, but I just load a fatter bullet and run it through the Lee Factory Crimp die and they shoot great.  Hopefully, that's the rifle for the second deer this year.  My "Tim Made" shortie .38-55 is going out first next week.
