I know this probably sounds silly,  but Is there anything I can use to attract problem beavers, so I can shoot them?  I'm in Wash state, and traps have been voted out/ except for live traps.

reckon ya could make a mound and lure it with a good castor based lure and sit and watch it.
think it might be lots of watching and not much shooting tho.

Tony has that one pegged.Best time to make your mound and lure it, would be just before dusk--or just as it gets light out in the morning.
I have trapped several(instant beaver over the years),I had to get out of the way so they could get into my trap.
While this will work at times with a gun, like tony has said--you may wait a long time.
While expensive, large live traps will work, just not as easily or quickly as a 330.

I can relate this method to deer hunting. Using this method would give me some of the best sleep while waiting for the beaver to come along! I'm not trying to be a smart ass here. I'm just saying that I dont mind taking a few minutes (ok maybe a hour or so) in the woods, field, or swamp to take a great nap and then brag about the one that got away when I get back home!!!
I Trap And I Hunt. Therefore I AM!
